Yvonne Ridley was in Auckland last year and I went to hear her "enlightened" views at a local hall.
Trust me, Ridley is a certifiable fruitcake and best ignored. Unfortunately the media report her rantings.

In actual fact, one only has to take one look at her to tell she's a "fruitcake"!
She has been quoted as saying that Islam is "unassailable". We'll see.
Well... if I got kidnapped by muslims, I might go crazy too. So, let`s assume that woman is showing severe post-traumatic-stress-symptoms.

Yes, I think many people would go crazy if they were kidnapped by the Taliban.
I think she must be suffering from a severe case of 'Stockholm Syndrome'.
Either way, she's exactly what Leelion said she was: a fruitcake! Or as we often refer to such people in the United Kingdom: a fruit and nut case!

If these people do no longer co-operate with the police over the search for terrorists, then they should all be classified as enemies, and be subjected to closer scrutiny and more raids on their homes.

"Stockholm Syndrome", yes I`ve heard of this before. It`s amazing how psychiatrists always find a way to excuse madness. Well, there certainly are cases where this applies, but this woman - I agree with you and leelion - is just "fruitcake"... only "fruitcakes" would convert to Islam anyways. (some time ago I posted on pedestrianinfidel blog about this subject "Why do people convert?")
However, I will never understand it.
