Only one juror prevented Zacarias Moussaoui from being sentenced to death for his role in the 9/11 attacks, the Washington Post has reported.

The paper says it was contacted by the jury forewoman from the trial, after which Moussaoui was given life in jail.

She said that in secret votes on three terrorism charges, the jury repeatedly voted 11-1, 10-2 and 10-2.

A unanimous vote on any of the charges would have condemned Moussaoui to a lethal injection. Moussaoui 'saved by lone juror'

I read this story in today's WaPo. Damn, I'm mad!

At the Symposium, Dr. Walid Phares emphasized that the United States' criminal-justice system doesn't have a clue as to the threat of "radical Islam." Dr. Phares was proved correct with this verdict and the method used to arrive at the sentence imposed.

Was that one juror a Muslim? I just have to ask that question.

Always:

Dr Walid Phares was right, of course.

Was that one juror a Muslim? I don't know; but it's quite possible, isn't it?

But if he was, then he shouldn't have been. NO MUSLIM should have been allowed to be a juror! Let's have some legitimate discrimination here. Do you think that they would have allowed a Christian juror in the Muslim world?
