Do Muslims Belong in a Secular Europe? Indeed in a Secular West?

If a cartoon such as this one bothers them so much, then I guess the answer is 'NO'!

It is heartening to note that the European press is making a firm stand on this matter. Die Welt went ahead today and published the cartoon in defiance of the Muslims living in Germany, as did France-Soir in defiance of the Muslims living there.

The New York Times: European Papers Publish Cartoons in Stand for Press Freedom

CNN: Papers reprint Islam row cartoons

Die Welt: Mohammed-Karikaturen: Dänische Zeitung gibt sich geschlagen

The Moscow Times: Cartoons of Mohammed reprinted

Die Neue Zürcher Zeitung: Streit um Mohammed-Karikaturen geht weiter

Le Figaro: Caricatures de Mahomet : la polémique gagne la France

Le Monde: La polémique sur les caricatures de Mahomet s'invite en France

WARNING! Freedom of expression, once lost, will be lost forever!

You're right, Usiconoclasticpatriot! Only a heavy hand will do! These people do NOT understand anything else.

Yes, BRAVO!!! I'm shouting. I have to.

I was working today and found this heartening story about Europe's stand as soon as I logged on this evening. And the story is all over the blogosphere.

We're not out of the woods yet, but I feel encouraged and revitalized. Western civilization is making the right move on this one.

Yes, it looks as though Western civilization might have woken up. At last!

I hope the courage continues. We need to freeze these people who cannot tolerate toleration OUT!

Mark,

I rarely do this, but there is an amazing dialogue going on at
Viking Observer
. Since this ties in with your topic, I thought you'd find the posts by "fed up" very interesting (and refreshing) indeed. Especially his response to Myanamar Muslim Blog.

Thank you, Heather. I'll go over there right away.

And thanks to the blogosphere, the real message is being passed around and getting read.

Yes, indeed! Without the blogosphere Brits and Americans wouldn't be able to see these caricatures, since the MSM is not reprinting them. They're all in a pre-state of dhimmitude; afraid, probably, of losing contracts for businesses.

What use will they be to us if we have sold out to this death cult?

So what is happening to political correctness? Is some good old fashioned common sense finally being allowed?

It sure looks that way, doesn't it?

"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!"

Indeed so! The door is ajar. They can exit that way. I, for one, won't stop them! I am sure most civilized people feel the same way as I do. I didn't have my grandfather die in the trenches of France during WWI for the freedoms we now enjoy only to have them taken away by these narrow-minded bigots.
