Inside Stockholm’s Most Luxurious Bakery | NK Art Bakery

We’re visiting one of Stockholm’s most luxurious bakeries, NK Art Bakery, located inside the iconic NK department store. Known for its elegant pastries, Swedish Princess Cakes, artisan breads, and the famous NK pralines, this bakery has been a local favourite for decades.

In this video, we follow the bakers and pastry chefs from the early hours of the morning starting at 5:00 AM with blueberry buns and rye bread, before moving on to Budapest pastries, chocolate pralines, and the stunning green Princess Cakes. We’ll also stop by the chocolate and confectionery section, where the team prepares NK’s most beloved pralines, including the legendary “mint kisses.”

Corona, lack of young people and now the high energy prices. The last traditional bakery in Heppenheim has to close. The traditional bakery of the Kaufmann family has been on the corner of Mozartstrasse and Gerhart-Hauptmann-Strasse in Weststadt since 1903. And now it's the end of December. "Unfortunately, the high energy prices and material costs are forcing us to do this!" says owner Willi Kaufmann. And so the Heppenheim bakery is not the only bakery in Hesse that has to close.
