Michael Lambert : BREXIT - It's Going to Get a Lot Worse!

Jul 30, 2022 Brexit is about to get a lot worse. Whilst Sunak and Truss battle to see which of them will be the fourth prime minister to have their career ruined by Brexit, the British economy continues to deteriorate. Whilst many other countries have suffered from the effects of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the UK has the additional and much more damaging effect of Brexit to contend with.

The loss of exports now that small and medium sized businesses can no longer export to the EU combined with the shortage of hundreds of thousands of essential workers who previously came from the EU is seriously damaging the economy.

Would be prime ministers Sunak, Truss and Starmer all claim to have plans to boost the economy but with very little hope of success. The damage done to the UK economy by Brexit is unlikely ever to be undone and our reputation in the world is now much diminished.
