Japan's Princess Mako Marries Commoner, Gives Up Royal Title
Oct 26, 2021 • Japan's Princess Mako has married her non-royal college sweetheart Kei Komuro, formally giving up her royal status. The couple held a low-key wedding, after years of criticism and media scrutiny over their relationship. The pair will now be moving to the US where Komuro works as a lawyer.
