DNA Results Confirm Cause of ‘The Great Plague of London’


The Great Plague of London, in 1665, has long fascinated historians. Roughly a quarter of the city's population were killed. Many have assumed the cause was the bubonic plague. And now scientists have confirmed it, by studying DNA from recently unearthed skeletons. Al Jazeera’s UK correspondent Barnaby Phillips reports from London.
