Ecuador Grants Asylum to Julian Assange
Ecuador's foreign minister, Ricardo Patiño, confirms that Quito has granted Julian Assange political asylum on the basis that he risks 'political persecution' if extradited to Sweden to face trial on sexual assault charges.
