Barack Hussein Obama is a danger to the US, and a danger to the free Western world.
I have always been deeply suspicious of his Muslim roots. His latest pronouncement that the US can be considered to be one of the biggest Muslim nations of the world has confirmed my suspicions.
What is this man playing at? To say that the US is a Muslim nation, still less one of the largest Muslim nations in the world, is as stupid as it is dangerous. On what has he based his statement? The USA has a population of about 5 million Muslims; Indonesia has about 207 million. So how can the US be considered a ‘large Muslim nation’? The man is a fool! And an appeasing fool at that!
To me, Barack Hussein Obama comes over as a snake oil salesman. He is far too smooth an operator. I dislike listening to him speak, and I certainly find it hard to trust him. From now on, I shall find it virtually impossible.
I shudder to think about what he is going to say in his major speech in Cairo. I’m sure you do, too.

A very dangerous game!
Right now, I'm watching BHO's speech in Cairo. He started off by praising Islam and has now proceeded to criticize Islam. Quite interesting to watch this performance. I can't imagine that this speech is going to please many Moslem elements throughout the world.
As for BHO's statement about the United States being a Muslim country, well, I'm aghast.
Furthermore, as far as I know, not a single mainstream-media source here in the States has so much as mentioned his outrageous and fallacious statement. We have more professing Christians in the United States than those of ANY other faith!
I do recall, before the November election, watching a video in which BHO said, "The United States is no longer a Christian country." American voters chose to ignore that warning sign.
As I listen to BHO conclude his Cairo speech right now (FINALLY!), I hear him opening the doors of the United States to Moslems -- a global effort involving the OIC. The ummah must be rubbing their hands together in glee. BHO is surrendering to Islam in this speech he's making this very moment! With his chin tilted up in the air and with his usual arrogance, he sings kumbaya to those sworn to the destruction of the West.

I, too, believe that Obama is playing a very dangerous game. It is certainly dangerous for the survival of the West. It could also be said that he is playing into the hands of radical Muslims.
His speech was long. More than 55 minutes' long, in fact. As one would expect, it was well-delivered. But the content was full of lies and half-truths.

I am not at all surprised that the MSM didn't broadcast this to the Americans. They would be – and rightly so – appalled. As you say, America has more professing Christians than any other faith.

This is indeed a warning, or at least should be. But are people taking notice? Does Obama have a secret agenda, I wonder?

Yes, America's doors are firmly opened wide for Muslims to immigrate, I'm sure. As you and I know well, much of this 'war' hinges on demographics. The more Muslims America has, the sooner it will be Islamized.
Did you hear the part where he spoke about Muslim women wearing a head covering, the part where he stated that this is not a symbol of subjugation?
Well this is a debatable point indeed. His attitude to the wearing of the veil also fails to recognize that Muslim women need to integrate. It is not the custom of Western women to cover their hair in this absurd manner. Muslim women often have to do this in order to keep predatory men at bay. When men and women are not socialized together, this is what happens: Men cannot stand to be in the same company as women, with hair showing, without getting the hots. In the West, things are usually different.
I fear that Obama's understanding of such problems is wanting.
By the way, on a minor note, I noticed that Obama cannot pronounce the Islamic greeting properly. He said as-salaam maleikum', whereas it should be as-salaam aleikum(السلام عليكم). With his formative years spent in Indonesia, I would have thought he could get this right.

I have said all along that he is a secret Muslim. Having been born into Islam means that he would have had the Shahada whispered into his ear, probably by his father.

Mark, Thank you for your timely response. Let's hope that BNO does NOT do what he is suggesting in his speech. Only those who are woefully ignorant of Islam and history could think that were he to do so, it would be good for the free world. It seems to me that there is a wonderfully apt phrase that I learned as a farm boy which describes him and this speech -- what do you suppose it is???
