Archbishop Meets Pope for the First Time After Branding Him Naïve for His Comments on Shari’ah

DAILY MAIL: The Archbishop of Canterbury today met Pope Benedict to discuss Christian-Muslim relations in their first meeting since Anglican leader's Sharia law storm.

It comes just two months after the Vatican branded Rowan Williams as "naive" for suggesting that aspects of Islamic law was unavoidable in Britain.

The pair spoke privately for about 20 minutes and discussed relations with the Muslim world, inter-faith dialogue and the Pope's impression of his visit to the United States last month.
