Stoning to Death: Bringing the Horrors of Islam to Life!

First you'll hear a speech, then a man gets flogged. The stoning of two women starts 6 minutes into the video. Watch till the end.

The stoning of women is practiced in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Warning: even if the film quality is poor, the images are extremely powerful and are not recommanded for all. [This is NOT suitable for children, for those who have a weak stomach, or for those who are of a nervous disposition.]

Hat tip: Apostates of Islam >>>

This is the barbarity that the law-makers of Aceh province have voted to make law; and this is the religion that our politicians – almost to a man – are in denial about. They call it the 'religion of love and peace', when anyone with an atom of common sense and intelligence knows full well that Islam symbolizes anything but either love or peace. Islam is a cruel, heartless cult. And I use the word 'cult' not as an insult but because that is what Islam truly is. A cult, by definition, venerates a particular figure. In this case, Muhammad. All devotion in a cult is directed towards that figure. In Islam, all devotion is directed towards Muhammad; indeed, Muslims are to love their prophet more than they love their own mothers, fathers, wives, or children. Therefore, the old name for Islam, Muhammadanism, is a very apt term for Westerners to use. Perhaps we should revert to the term! – © Mark
New Dark Age Alert! MPs Pass Law to Stone to Death Adulterers in Indonesian Province

As darkness falls over the world, our politicians continue to be in denial about the dangers of Islam. I speak not of radical Islam, but of Islam itself. For Islam truly is the problem; and it’s the greatest problem facing the civilized world today.

The silly word games our politicians play, the useless, banal games to try and separate this Islam from that one, the games they play to exonerate themselves from action – action which they are too cowardly to take, are really not helpful. On the contrary, these games hinder our ultimate success over the cult that is Islam, over the world’s greatest force for darkness, backwardness, inhumanity, and barbarity.

We need to roll back the frontiers. We need to push back the enveloping tide of ultimate backwardness – the evil forces which will take us back to the ‘New Dark Age’. The process of taking the world back to benightedness has begun; it needs to be halted forthwith, it needs to be halted without further delay.

THE TELEGRAPH: Married people who commit adultery could be stoned to death under new law unanimously passed on Monday by MPs in the devoutly Muslim Indonesian province of Aceh.

The law, which will come into effect in 30 days, also decrees that homosexuals could be caned and jailed for eight years.

Those convicted of rape or consuming alcohol could be face up to 200 lashes of the cane meted out in public.

The 69-seat house in the semi-autonomous province voiced no reservations over the new law, an extension of the Sharia code already in force.

Gambling and drinking were already banned after Aceh introduced elements of Sharia law in 2001, when it became compulsory for women to wear headscarves. >>> Ian MacKinnon in Bangkok | Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Ten Saudis Seek Asylum After Princess Is Allowed to Stay

THE INDEPENDENT: Chairman of home affairs committee welcomes decision to give sanctuary to woman with illegitimate child

Ministers are considering asylum applications for 10 Saudi Arabian nationals who claim they are at risk of persecution if they are forced to return to the Middle Eastern kingdom, it emerged last night.

The new cases were made public after The Independent revealed the plight of a Saudi princess who was granted asylum in Britain after she had an illegitimate child with a British man.

The young woman, who has also been granted anonymity by the courts, won her claim for asylum after she told a court that she faced execution if her husband found out about her adultery and she was forced to return to Saudi Arabia.

Immigration and asylum experts said last night that asylum cases from women fleeing the kingdom were very rare. But Keith Vaz, chairman of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, said of the case: "This is the kind of person that our asylum laws are designed to protect. A woman and her unborn child should under no circumstances be sent back to a country where it is likely that they will be harmed. I welcome the decision made in this case."

New figures released by the Home Office also showed that a further 15 Saudis were refused asylum by the Government last year. There are no details about the sex of each of the applicants nor for the number of asylum applications received this year.
Mr Vaz called for more information to be made public about claims from Saudi Arabia. He said: "This is a country with a questionable human rights record. It is important to make clear the number of people who are fleeing similar treatment."

The princess's case is one of a small number of claims for asylum brought by citizens of Saudi Arabia which are not openly acknowledged by either government. British diplomats believe that to do so would in effect highlight the persecution of women in Saudi Arabia, which would be viewed as open criticism of the House of Saud and lead to embarrassing publicity for both governments.

The woman, who comes from a very wealthy Saudi family, says she met her English boyfriend – who is not a Muslim – during a visit to London. They struck up a relationship after he gave her his telephone number in a department store. She became pregnant the following year and worried that her elderly husband – a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia – had become suspicious of her behaviour, she persuaded him to let her visit the UK again to give birth in secret. She feared for her life if she returned to Saudi Arabia.

She persuaded the court that if she returned to the kingdom she would be subject to capital punishment under Sharia law – specifically flogging and stoning to death. She was also worried about the possibility of an honour killing. Since she fled Saudi Arabia, her family and her husband's family have broken off contact with her. >>> Robert Verkaik, Home Affairs Editor | Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Iran Takes Step Towards Scrapping Death Penalty for Apostasy and Stoning [sic]

THE CHRISTIAN POST: In a “positive development” Iran’s parliamentary committee has recommended to remove articles stipulating the death penalty for apostasy from the Islamic Penal Code Bill.
The recommendation has been made by the Iranian Government’s Parliamentary Committee, a UK-based Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) reported.

Ali Shahrokhi of the Legal and Judicial Committee of the Parliament reportedly told the Iranian state news agency (IRNA) of this pronouncement according to a BBC Persian news service report on 23 June.

Mr Shahrokhi also stated that stoning was not ‘in the interest of the regime’. He told IRNA that “Islam has set a strict set of conditions for the implementation of punishments such as stoning, that they can rarely be proven. Hence the legal and judicial commission members concluded that some of these laws are unnecessary to mention.” >>> Robert Williams, Christian Post Correspondent | Saturday, June 27, 2009

Iranian Film Calls for Change

BBC: The recent death of a female protestor in Iran has become a rallying cry for people across the country and echoes the populist anger seen in the late 1980s at the stoning of a woman for a adultery. Now, the events leading up to her death have been made into a film 'The Stoning of Soraya M'.

We spoke to the Iranian-American actress Shohreh Aghdashloo who stared in the movie and asked her about the political importance of her cinematic performance. Watch BBC video here >>> | Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Mandy Would Be Stoned to Death under Sharia Law

THE SUN: THE vile Muslim extremists behind the sick protests against Our Boys at a homecoming parade want Lord Mandelson stoned to death — for being GAY.

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary yesterday set out how he would deal with the Business Secretary if Britain was ruled under Sharia law.

At a bizarre press conference he called in London, he said Lord Mandelson would be RE-EDUCATED about the “evils” of homosexuality.

But the minister would be EXECUTED if he confessed to a male liaison.

Choudary, 41, who chillingly struck a pose like a video still of terror chief Osama bin Laden, said of Mandy: “He would not be allowed to speak openly about homosexuality.”

He added: “If a man likes another man, it can happen. But if you go on to fulfil your desire, there is a punishment to follow.

NAME: All Homosexuals Should Be Stoned to Death, Says Muslim Preacher of Hate

All homosexuals should face stoning to death, a Muslim preacher of hate declared yesterday.

Anjem Choudary, the firebrand cleric who wants to see Britain ruled by Sharia law, said such a regime was the only way to fix the country's ills.

Under it, adulterers and homosexuals would be killed by stoning. Asked if that would include anybody - even a Cabinet minister such as Business Secretary Lord Mandelson - Choudary responded with an astonishing diatribe.

He said: 'If a man likes another man, it can happen, but if you go on to fulfil your desire, if it is proved, then there is a punishment to follow. You don't stone to death unless there are four eyewitnesses. It is a very stringent procedure.

'There are some people who are attracted to donkeys but that does not mean it is right.'

Choudary was speaking at a press conference in London arranged by Muslim extremists to justify their protest in Luton last week against soldiers returning home from Iraq.

His incendiary remarks immediately prompted calls for him to be investigated by police. Tory MP Patrick Mercer said: 'These statements show the depravity of this man's beliefs. They must incite hatred and encourage terrorism, and I would encourage the Metropolitan Police to investigate them as rigorously as possible.'

The Rev Sharon Ferguson, chief executive of the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement, said: 'This is appalling. The police should look very closely at what has been said to see if there is any action they should be taking.' >>> By Sam Greenhill | Saturday, March 21, 2009

Teen Stoning Death Casts Shadow on Conference

IOL.CO.ZA: A 13-year-old girl begged for mercy moments before a mob buried her up to her shoulders and stoned her to death.

The Somali youngster is said to have pleaded "Don't kill me, don't kill me!" before her horrific execution in front of a 1 000-strong crowd in late October.

Convicting a girl of 13 years for adultery is illegal under sharia law, but the authorities argued that she lied about her age.

Amnesty International and the United Nations International Children's Fund said the girl, identity known to this publication, was raped while travelling to see a relative in Mogadishu.

Her family is said to have tried to report the crime to the militia who control Kismayu, only for Aisha to be arrested and accused of adultery. None of the men she accused of rape was detained.

The stoning that sent shockwaves around the world in October formed a sombre backdrop to the Sixth African Development Forum (ADF) on gender violence and women's empowerment hosted by the Economic Commission for Africa. >>> By Zarina Geloo and Joyce Chimbi | December 8, 2008

Iran Confirms Stoning Sentence against Adulteress: Report

AFP: TEHRAN — Iran's supreme court has confirmed a sentence of death by stoning against a woman convicted of adultery in the southern city of Shiraz, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The woman identified as Afsaneh R., was also given a second death sentence for murdering her husband with the help of a man identified only as Reza, who had an affair with her, Etemad Melli newspaper reported.

The report said the supreme court had in August confirmed verdicts first issued in April, but gave no reason for the delay in making the decision public.

It said Reza had also been sentenced to 100 lashes for having an illegitimate relationship and 15 years in jail for collaborating in murder. >>> | November 29, 2008

Somalia: Rape Victim, 13, Stoned to Death

PRESS ASSOCIATION: A 13-year-old girl who said she had been raped has been stoned to death in Somalia after being accused of adultery by Islamic militants.

Dozens of men stoned Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow to death on October 27 in a stadium packed with 1,000 spectators in the southern port city of Kismayo, Amnesty International and Somali media reported, citing witnesses.

The Islamic militia in charge of Kismayo had accused her of adultery after she reported that three men had raped her, the rights group said.

Initial local media reports said Miss Duhulow was 23, but her father told Amnesty International she was 13. Some of the Somali journalists who first reported the killing later told Amnesty International that they had reported she was 23 based upon her physical appearance.

"This child suffered a horrendous death at the behest of the armed opposition groups who currently control Kismayo," David Copeman, Amnesty International's Somalia campaigner, said in a statement on Friday.

Somalia is among the world's most violent and impoverished countries. The nation of some eight million people has not had a functioning government since warlords overthrew a dictator in 1991 then turned on each other. >>> PA | November 1, 2008

Stoned Woman ‘Screamed for Her Life’

IOL: Kismayu - Relatives of a Somali woman who was publicly stoned to death by Islamists have reacted with fury.

Asha Ibrahim Dhuhulow, 23, was stoned to death after being accused of adultery, witnesses said. It was the first such public killing by the militants for about two years.

"The stoning was totally irreligious and illogical," said Dhuhulow's sister, who asked not to be named.

"Islam does not execute a woman for adultery unless four witnesses and the man with whom she committed sex are brought forward publicly," she said.

Dhuhulow was placed in a hole up to her neck for the execution late on Monday in front of hundreds of people in a square of this southern port, which the Islamist insurgents captured in August. [Source: IOL.co.za] | October 29, 2008

Islam Shows Its Boundless Compassion Again! This Time in Somalia!

AFP: MOGADISHU — Thousands of people gathered Monday to witness 50 Somali men stone a woman to death after an Islamic court in the southern port of Kismayo found her guilty of adultery, witnesses said.

Aisho Ibrahim Dhuhulow, who had been found guilty of extra-marital intercourse was buried in the ground up to her neck while the men pelted her head with rocks.

"Our sister Aisha asked the Islamic Sharia court in Kismayo to be charged and punished for the crime she committed," local Islamist leader Sheikh Hayakallah told the crowd.

"She admitted in front of the court to engaging in adulterous sexual intercourse," he added.

"She was asked several times to review her confession but she stressed that she wanted Sharia law and the deserved punishment to apply."

The execution was carried in one of the city's main squares. Woman Stoned to Death for Adultery after Somali Court Ruling >>> | October 27, 2008

Iran: Nine Iranians Convicted of Adultery to Be Stoned to Death

FOX NEWS: TEHRAN, Iran — Eight women and one man convicted of adultery are set to be stoned to death in Iran, activists said Sunday.

Lawyer and women's rights activist, Shadi Sadr, said the nine were convicted of adultery in separate cases in different Iranian cities.

"Their verdicts are approved, and they may be executed at any time," she told reporters.

Sadr, who has been leading a campaign in Iran against stoning deaths since 2006, said trial protocol was not applied properly in the cases. Six of the nine were convicted based solely on judges' decisions with no witnesses or the presence of their lawyers during their confessions, she said.

Most of the nine come from areas of Iran that have low rates of literacy and some did not understand the cases against them, she said.

One of Sadr's colleagues, Mohammad Mostafai, said his client, Malak Qorbani, had plead guilty to adultery even though she did not know the meaning of the charge.

The nine are between 27 and 50 years old, among them a male music teacher who was convicted of adultery for having an affair with one of his students, the activists said.

"We are trying to stop the implementation of their verdicts. And secondly, we want to amend the country's penal law, in which death by stoning is prescribed," Sadr said. Activists: 9 Iranians Convicted of Adultery Set to Be Stoned to Death >>> AP | July 20, 2008

Only the Wise Stone Women to Death!

Hat tip to Robert Spencer for the following:

ADNKRONOS INTERNATIONAL: Tehran, 16 July (AKI) – Iran's chief prosecutor Ghorban Ali Dori Najafabad has defended the death penalty by stoning describing it as a "wise measure".

"Death by stoning and all the measures contained in the Sharia (Islamic law) are wise measures' he said in speech delivered Monday in Zanjan, a town located some 200 kilometres west of the capital Tehran.

"We need to distinguish between the law of bloodmoney and the of executions carried out after the death sentence has been passed. The first is a right the Sharia recognises to the victims, while the second is a law wanted by men", Najafabad said. Iran: Death by stoning a 'wise measure' (more)

Adulterer Is Stoned to Death in Iran

KUWAIT TIMES: TEHRAN: Iran said yesterday that a man convicted of adultery had been stoned to death, the first time it has confirmed such an execution in five years, drawing international condemnation. The punishment - which involves the public hurling stones at the convict buried up to his waist - was meted out despite a 2002 directive from the head of the country's judiciary suspending the practice. "This case has been recently executed in the village that was mentioned," judiciary spokesman Alireza Jamshidi told reporters about the stoning of Jafar Kiani in Aghche Kand near Takestan, in Qazvin province.
