Aug 14, 2025 | The US Supreme Court has officially been asked to overturn the landmark 2015 decision that granted equal marriage rights to LGBTQ+ couples. It comes amid criticism of the State Department's reports on international human rights abuses this week, which eliminated entire sections on discrimination against LGBTQ+ people, women and racial and ethnic minorities in countries with long track records of human rights abuses.
