Does death await Moussaoui?

Image hosting by Photobucket
The jury in the US trial of confessed al-Qaeda plotter Zacarias Moussaoui has decided he is eligible to face the death penalty when he is sentenced.

A second phase of hearings will now take place, beginning on Thursday, to determine if he should be executed.

As the jury's verdict was announced in court, Moussaoui shouted: "You'll never get my blood, God curse you all."

Prosecutors argue he should be executed because he lied about the 9/11 plot. His defence say he knew very little.

Moussaoui has pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to attack the US.

In order to deem him eligible for the death penalty, the jurors had to agree that Moussaoui's actions led directly to at least one death on 11 September 2001. Red it all here: Moussaoui can face death penalty

This story was all over the news when I got home this evening. One fellow (I believe he lost his wife at the Pentagon on 9/11) has been very outspoken as to the need for the death penalty. I'm with him on that!

If I understood correctly, counter-terrorist Steve Emerson made the point tonight that Moussaoui isn't wacko; rather he's a Muslim who takes his Islam seriously. The talk-show host didn't much like it, but Emerson got it in.

Yes, Mussolini, it's a drop in the ocean.

Exactly right!

So what was with the talk-show host that "he didn't much like it"?

I guess that the talk-show host didn't want to hear anything negative about Islam. Arrrggghhhh!

Does anybody these days? Except for bloggers like us - people prepared to speak and write the truth.

Mussolini:

Isn't that the truth! We've done this to ourselves. We've been stupid! People are generally so unaware.

WHIDFYT?:

Exactly! But couldn't it be said that being whacko and being a very good Muslim is synonymous?

Mark said...

Sorry: 'are synonymous.

Yeh Mark,

In the eyes of Modern civilisation it's fully wacko, we jsut need reminding.

I don't know if you have any sharia in your legal system there yet, but even though we have none in ours here, people like to play "sharia's" by pretending it's how it is anyway...

It's no game.

No, we don't.

People like to play "sharia's"? How sick! What form does this game take?

It's no game.

It certainly isn't! It's deadly serious. People should play games for fun. There's no fun in Islam; and there certainly isn't any fun in as-Shariah!

Mark,

Sorry, was just sarcasm, "playing sharia's" I mean it's what the PC do, act as if it's already law.

The "oh why can't he have 2o wives are u racist or something stuff"

It makes them feel like the nice guy but is what has done this to our society.

Sharia may not get it but "shariaesque styled" professional to legal acceptance may become the norm.

If this 9/11 guy is killed I hope WE celebrate it as normal behaviour rule that outcome.

But our own psychopaths, we are expect to be killed or jailed for life.

That's just it.
