No Signal: Greek State TV & Radio Taken Off Air Due to Crisis

The main TV and radio channels in Greece have been taken off air, after the government decided to shut down all state-run broadcasters. All 2500 employees have lost their jobs, while the authorities slammed the company as 'a haven of waste'. Large crowds joined in a protest against the decision, which is the latest in a cost-cutting drive, as Athens' struggles to please international lenders.
