Severely burned French woman between life and death as spate of bus-burning continues. Official reason: Social deprivation!
THE TELEGRAPH: Riot police reinforcements were deployed in Marseille last night after the latest outbreak of urban violence in France left a young woman in a critical condition with life-threatening burns.

President Jacques Chirac expressed his horror at the attack hours after the 26-year-old woman and three others were ambushed by rioting teenagers while travelling on a bus in the southern port city.

The assailants – said by some witnesses to be as young as 15 – forced the vehicle's doors open, spilled flammable liquid inside, and set it alight.

There were similar attacks in major cities across the country at the weekend, just hours after the passing of the anniversary of the rioting and car-burning that brought terror to urban areas last year. Chirac's horror as woman burnt in riot

Excellent comment, Temple.

Guilty such monsters are, of crimes against humanity, their specious piety and one-eyed selective intervention in World events, leaves all human-kind at the brink of a slippery slide into an dark abyss of
ignorance and war.

Yes, war is looking a distinct possibility now, isn't it?

Official reason: Social deprivation!

Anything but Islam! Even with such vile deeds being committed (Have we returned to the likes of pre-Reconquista Spain, when Musulims rampaged and pillaged the Iberian Peninsula?), all that President Chirac can express is shock. Chirac apparently still does not have a realistic view of what's happening nor of the motivation of these monsters, to borrow Temple's word.

What will it take for widespead condemnation of Muslim youths on the loose in France?

Temple has made very good comments.

This happening is not being discussed much in the United States, and with only one week until congressional elections, I think this silence in America about what is happening in France will help the Democrats.

Using the excuse of depravation as the reason is idiotic given recent history: rioting in France in autumn 2005
rioting world wide over the cartoons
rioting over Pope Benidict's remarks
and now yet another rioting.

How idiotic for not seeing what is plain to everyone, its a religious war not social depravation.

And social depravation is no excuse, because i am not the only one who grew up poor and everyone of my poor neighbors and myself never went on crime sprees nor murdered.

Very scary. I'm actually not sure what to say.

I'm reading "The Arab Mind" right now but will read your book soon Mark.

Steve:

Getting France to do anything effective against this dhimmitude and tolerance is like getting Bush to stop saying that Islam is a religion of peace. It's totally hopeless. I might as well go out and buy my wife a damn burqa.

I fear that you will have to buy her one sooner or later, the way our leaders are tackling this most serious problem. We should be kicking ass, but instead of that, we are mollifying them, and giving our own civilization away in the process.

Shame on them!

Well, it can be difficult to know what to say. These people take cruelty to new heights.

I thought you had finished my book long ago. Never mind: Better late than never! :-)

I shall look forward to your report on it. By the way, the Arab Mind is excellent.

I am sorry for giving the impression i thought poverty is a reason for the action of the rop. NO insult was meant for the poor becasue i am from poor parents. I think a better phrase would have been: even those who are poor would not lower themselves to become criminals.

But i do want to emphasis I despise islam.

Mark,
Yes, it is jihad. And Muslims in France are testing the West's reaction to these attacks, too. The West is failing that test and coming up with excuses for the jihad being waged.

SSCT,

I think you're right, though I hadn't considered that possibility before you mentioned it. Meanwhile, the media are banging the drum about all the disasters going on in Iraq.

What really gets to me about the media is that the stories about France are barely visibile in ANY of the media.

Today i decided since the American newsmedia seems to ignore the news how the religion of peace is rioting again in France and that a young woman was severely burned when she was pulled of a bus, i went ahead and called the American National Republican Committee and provide this information to them in hopes that they will use it in national advertisement against the Democrats before next weeks congressional elections. I also provided them to the newspaper the Boston Herald.

I am hoping readers of this website possibly could also call the Republican party and let them know about these incidents in France that we are discussing on this thread.

The telephone number in the United States for the Republican National Committee headquarters is 202-863-8500.

Thank you for your consideration of my request to call.

Happy Thanksgiving
