How appropriate is it for the President of the United States of America to send Eid greetings to Muslims throughout the world when Muslims are the very people who are trying to destroy our civilization, and when Muslims are the very people who NEVER return the compliment at Christmas?

"I send greetings to Muslims in the United States and around the world celebrating Eid al-Fitr.
Islam is a great faith that has transcended racial and ethnic divisions and brought hope and comfort to many people. Throughout Ramadan, Muslims have fasted to focus their minds on faith and to direct their hearts to charity. Eid al-Fitr marks the completion of this holy month with the Festival of Breaking the Fast. During this joyous celebration, Muslims thank God for his guidance and blessings by gathering with family and friends, sharing traditional foods, and showing compassion to those in need.
America is strengthened by the countless contributions of our Muslim citizens, and we value our ties with Muslim nations throughout the world. For people of all faiths, Eid al-Fitr is an opportunity to reflect on the values we share and the friendships that bind all who trace their faith back to God's call to Abraham.
Laura and I send our best wishes for a joyous Eid and for health, happiness, and prosperity in the year ahead. Eid Mubarak.

I'm so sick of such statements from President Bush!
In today's WaPo appeared a huge color photo in the local section. The photo was so endearing--or tried to be, with cute children and one shot which was very Nativity-Scene-like. I didn't find it endearing! Celebrating the end of Ramadan was the topic, of course. Do any of these editors--indeed, our leaders--know the connotations of Ramadan?
They sicken me, too, Always! This president is a disaster for the free world! He needs to go and live under Islam for a while. Then he'll come to his senses.
Mr. President: Your 'greetings' are so absurd. Islam is NOT a noble faith, so why in the world are you telling Muslims what they believe and what they are doing in their observances. Muslims already know what they believe, and decent people in this country don't give a damn, because this is pure 'horse manure' as your predecessor, Harry Truman, would have said so irreverently. I can't believe a president of this country would spin all these vicious lies about Islam. Over and over again, thoughtful people have asked you to provide tangible examples which demonstrate your assertions. As yet, none have been forthcoming, and for one simple reason: NONE EXIST! Muslims have contributed NOTHING in 1400 years to the advance of civilization; rather they have tried to destroy everything that has advanced our civilization in the name of their barbaric beliefs. Muslims aren't interested in contributing. They are far more interested in destroying civilization. And in any case, they spend their time bonking their heads on the sand/floor. It doesn't give them much time for productive pursuits.
By the way, USIP: Your president also suffers from delusions about anyone who calls himself religious. He's got some dreamy notion that religion equals good. It can do, of course, but it doesn't necessarily have to be true. It depends which religion one follows.
Bush hasn't come to the realization that God and Allah are NOT one and the same deity yet! Bush has got some catching up to do.

Yes, I agree totally. This is a very, very worrying development. Muslims are doing their utmost to infiltrate the corridors of power there in Washington DC. As they are everywhere else, too, of course.

Good question! First of all, they haven't been told the truth about Islam. Bush does his utmost to gloss over everything; and the MSM is too pc to tell the truth. The result: The people are led to believe that Muslms are good people, and are no danger to their way of life.
One could almost call this deliberate holding of the truth from the people criminal. These people should be tried in courts of law for crimes against Western civilization.
Mark - Bush seems clueless and it's unlikely that any Western politician would dare to confront Islam AND the class of elites that are running the world. They do more-or-less what they're told.
