Deluded thinking! We see this kind of thing over and over again. Where has this Western idea worked for any length of time?

I wish Bush & Co. would stop trying to expand the EU to include all these countries, especially Turkey. They make me so annoyed. How would Cheney and Bush like it if the EU put pressure on the US to include Mexico?
The EU is big enough, and sprawling enough, already. We don't need any more new members. Especially countries we have little in common with.
Is this the BIG PUSH for world government, or what? Which country's entry are they going to push for next? Saudi Arabia's?
