Prince Charles the new roving ambassador for Islam!

It has been reported in The Telegraph this morning that Prince Charles is to fly to the States on Tuesday for an eight-day tour. Its purpose: To try and sell Islam to George W Bush and the American people! He wishes to persuade the President and all Americans of the merits of the faith.

Apparently, Charles believes that the actions of the nineteen hijackers on 9/11 should not tarnish the reputation of hundreds of millions of law-abiding Muslims around the world.

Really, Charles! What have ya bin smokin'?

Charles is a meddlesome prince. He has been sniffing around for many a year for a meaningful rôle in the world. He is into and frequently expresses his often controversial opinions on organic farming, architecture, alternative medicine, and Islam. In fact, he has a particularly soft spot for Islam. But it is precisely his views on Islam which are particularly dangerous to the continued existence of the West in its current form. Someone should shut him up!

He is edging dangerously close to engaging in politics with this one. We can tolerate his outbursts on organic farming and alternative medicine and even architecture; indeed, his remarks are often laughable. They seem often to be the rusings of an ageing and slightly eccentric man who has no meaning in his life! But when he starts spouting forth on Islam, the alarm bells should start ringing!

As a prince of the House of Windsor, he must surely have plenty of time to read about Islam - the real Islam. He should start today! There are good books aplenty on the dangers that Islam poses the Western world. My own, The Dawning of a New Dark Agewould be a good place to start. Then read the Qur'anand inwardly digest it, and Al Hadith, or the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, and Robert Spencer's excellent books, his latest being The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam, and then read The Arab Mindby Raphael Patai, and Trifkovic's book, The Sword of the Prophet. This would be a good start! And if his German is up to it, which I believe it should be, as his family has German roots, then he should read Die islamische Herausforderungby Gerhard Konzelmann. This book should open his eyes, as it did mine twenty or so years ago. It's a classic. Not forgetting, of course, Bat Ye'or's The Decline of Eastern Christianity under Islam: From Jihad to Dhimmitude and Eurabia. Indeed, these are must reads for him. They will all help to remove the stars in his eyes. He needs to be taught how to see clearly. His starry-eyed vision of Islam is as inaccurate as it is dangerous.

We really cannot afford to have Charles roving around the world as an ambassador for Islam, disseminating disinformation about this dangerous faith! The continued existence of the West depends on his being gagged!

Srdja Trifkovic: The Racial and Religious Hatred Bill: A Milestone on Britain’s Road to Dhimmitude*

The House of Lords is clashing with Tony Blair’s Labour government over its proposed Racial and Religious Hatred Bill. This is an Orwellian piece of legislation. Its real purpose of preventing any meaningful discussion of Islam. If passed it would enable authorities to charge people with “inciting religious hatred” even if they speak or write the truth about the Kuran, the hadith, the historical practice of jihad, or the long-term aspirations of the Muslim diaspora in the West.

*Dhimmitude is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia, mandates for non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, "protected people," are free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur'an's command that they "feel themselves subdued" (Sura 9:29). This denial of equality of rights and dignity remains part of the Sharia, and, as such, are part of the law that global jihadists are laboring to impose everywhere, ultimately on the entire human race.

The dhimmi attitude of chastened subservience has entered into Western academic study of Islam, and from there into journalism, textbooks, and the popular discourse. Can this really be the religion of peace our leaders talk about?

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's recent outburst that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map was as outrageous as it was dangerous.

Can these really be the utterings of a man of faith? Can these really be the utterings, indeed, of a Muslim - an adherent of the so-called religion of love and peace and tolerance our leaders have been ramming down our throats ever since 9/11? Or could they simply be the utterings of a rabid Muslim - a man of faith dedicated to the real Islam, a man dedicated to bringing the West to its knees, and conquering and Islamizing the whole world?

President Bush and Tony Blair's statements that Al-Qaeda has warped and twisted and distorted the wonderfully peaceful and tolerant religion of Islam are sounding increasingly vacuous and empty and devoid of any truth.

No, Mr President! No, Mr Prime Minister! This is the real Islam, unvarnished and without sugar-coating. Uncandied! This is the religion whose adherents wish to conquer the world. You know, the religion which wishes to establish the caliphate!

If anyone ever had any doubt about the real Islam, then he need doubt no longer. This is the real thing! Not Islam-lite, not Islam varnished, not Islam candied or sugar-coated. But Islam, the real thing. Islam unveiled!

Prepare yourselves for a rough ride!

When the truth shall not be uttered!

There are signs aplenty that a new dark age has started to dawn; and they are there for the observing! Our age is characterized by weakness, since the West is no longer sure of itself. It knows not whither it goes! We are engaged in belly-aching and navel-contemplation! Why? Because we doubt our own superiority as a civilization, doubt the faith upon which that civilization is underpinned, doubt that our long-held beliefs are valid anymore.

No civilization will survive like this; and we are the architects of our own destruction! This is the sad thing! We are creating our own weakness, so we, ourselves, are bringing forward the downfall of our own civilization. This is folly if ever I recognized it! We have become self-deprecating; so we apologize for ourselves! And in so doing, we try - oh, how we try! - to be fair to all. But beware! Churchill once said: The whole history of the world is summed up in the fact that when nations are strong, they are not always just, and when they wish to be just, they are no longer strong.

Closing down freedom of speech in the United Kingdom with the government's ill-conceived Race and Religious Hatred Bill will be one further step towards that age of darkness, since the truth shall no longer be utterable.

Yet, there is another sign of the impending dark age: Europe has abandoned its faith! Church pews are empty. Church leaders no longer proclaim their monopoly on their version of the truth of everlasting life. They spend their time discussing the rights and wrongs of homosexuality, and engage in interfaith conferences -conferences which can, in the long-run, only lead to a further dilution of the Christian faith. For there is no compromise to be with other faiths if you are sure of the truth, especially with Islam, since Islam is so uncompromising!

Islam is a confident religion, sure-footed, and determined: determined to rule the world! It is a competing civilization with ours, competing in every way imaginable. The advent of the petro-dollar has given the Islamic world a new lease on life. The result: The Islamic world is now in the ascendancy; and we are helping it along! We are in the descendency; and they are helping us along!

Because we have long since started the process of abandoning the religion that gave us so much, the religion that brought us to this level of civilization, the religion that brought us the art, the music, the science, the medical breakthroughs, the technology, the machinery, the high standards of living, the enlightenment (the list goes on and on and on!), people are searching - searching for meaning in their lives, searching for the spiritual, searching for fulfilment.

And where are they searching? They are searching where they will find nothingness - a void! For they are searching in New Age beliefs: horoscopes, the occult, the mysterious. There is a growth industry in Europe in these alternative belief systems. In Europe, it is not unusual to believe in the power of the moon! In the power of the stars! And in the power of much else besides.

Hokus pokus!

Many of us are a guilty of having a sneak peek at our horoscope reading for the day, week, month, or even the year ahead. But, when people are sensible, they should take these with a good pinch of salt. The alarming thing in Europe is this: many do not!

The decline of Christianity in Europe has brought with it a void which people are trying to fill. These New Age beliefs may tied people over for a time, but only until they come to realize that they are simply delving into entertaining nonsense! Drivel!

The great fear is that with Islam growing apace here in Europe, through immigration, a much-higher-than-average birthrate among the Muslim community, and through some inter-marriages and conversions, it will fill that void, and will then come to dominate the landscape. The signs of this happening are there now for all to observe. The numbers of Muslims in Europe are large, but, till now, they are still very much the minority; but oh how they have come to dominate the news! Scarcely a day goes by without some big story or other about Islam spread across the pages of our newspapers. If Islam gets this much coverage now, imagine what it is going to be like in twenty years' time! Imagine, too, how much coverage it's going to get if Turkey is allowed in to the EU!

But what will the growth of Islam in Europe and the West bring with it? This is the burning and important question!

Well, to start with, the growth of Islam will close down critical thinking. Why? Because people will not be allowed to search for the truth. In Islamic countries, anything that goes against Islam, or is said against Islam, is strictly forbidden, and punishable. This creates an atmosphere of fear, so people remain silent. Furthermore, if people are disallowed from uttering the truth, then they cease searching for it. What's the point in searching for the truth if you cannot utter it?

Searching for truth and inquiry are the basis of science. It is no coincidence that the Islamic world has contributed nothing much of lasting value to the scientific community for centuries. Nor has it contributed to art, because most forms of art are forbidden in Islam.

Discoveries in the Islamic world must prove the verity of Islam as the true faith. If anything is discovered that doesn't, it is hushed up and swept under the carpet.

This is no way for a society to be enlightened. This is the road to benightedness!

Then we have the ritual of prayer five times a day. Is this conducive to productivity and economic growth? In Saudi Arabia, at the present time, there are many, many graduates who wish for nothing other than to devote themselves to religious life! (Compare this with the numbers entering seminaries!) They wish to be state-funded imams. Will this be the next thing to come here to the West? Already, Sarkozy in France is advocating the state-funding of mosques!

These are troubling times indeed. Troubling, because we aren't vigilant, aren't confident, aren't convinced of our strong future.

Diffidence will be the arhitect of our destruction; self-confidence, the architect of the Islamic age!

The road to hell is paved with good intentions!

The Racial and Religious Hatred Bill now before the British Parliament marks a sad turning point in this tolerant nation's history. If passed, this free country, till now famed for its freedom of speech, will never be the same again! This bill is as dangerous as it is absurd!

Never in my lifetime have I lived through a period as dangerous as this one, never in my lifetime have I lived through a period of government so intrusive, never in my lifetime have I lived through a period of government so determined to rob the British of their hard-won liberty, and never in my lifetime have I been ruled by people so determined to coerce the majority to appease the minority!

Tony Blair is a Prime Minister like no other we have ever seen. In a short time, he is managing to change the landscape of British politics and the life of the average man in the street.

In my opinion, he will go down as the banning prime minister, since he is clearly intent on banning everything he dislikes or everything he thinks is bad for us. He is turning Britain into a nanny-state. Mrs Thatcher came to power to free up the people; Mr Blair, to place them in shackles!

He has banned smacking, fox-hunting, and much else besides. Further, he is going to ban smoking in all public places. And now he is bent on introducing the Racial and Religious Hatred Bill which will effectively take away our freedom of speech. This is quite unforgivable!

This Prime Miinister seems not to understand the true nature of the tolerant society he is governing. What he is doing to this country is not in the spirit of land. We have had a rich history of tolerance and even diversity. All other groups have managed to blend in. So why should the Muslims be any different? What is particularly galling is that he is doing this to appease the Muslims whose support he has lost because of his ill-fated war in Iraq.

I have said all along - actually for more than twenty years - that we are in grave danger of losing our own culture to mollify and appease the growing number of Muslims in this country. Received wisdom has long told us that immigrants should adopt the culture of the host country. This is in accord with the idea of when in Rome, do as the Romans do. It seems that the new way is for the 'Romans' to be forced to do as the immigrants do: the majority has to mend its ways to appease the minority. This is the nature of Blair's Britain.

This is a dangerous development. Moreover, there will be no end to the demands of the Muslim minority. They are a growing minority, and as this minority grows ever stronger, ever more demands will be made, since so much in our country, as in every other Western country, is potentially offensive to a Muslim: from pigs to wine, from the crucifix to the church bells! Are we eventually to ban everything offensive to Muslims?

This is all happening because we are being led by the weak! Surely, nobody could be weaker than Tony Blair! His premiership has the appearance of strength simply because he faces no real opposition in Parliament (the Conservatives continue to squabble among themselves); in actual fact, however, the reverse is true.

If Blair thinks that he is going to bring about racial harmony with this ill-conceived legislation, he is greatly mistaken. If anything, it will increase tensions between the communities, not minimize them.

Saturday night saw bad riots on the streets of England. Such riots will surely continue if he insists on making one racial group despise the other like this, setting one racial group against the other. The middle classes may well grin and bear it all; the working classes will not! Tolerance is the key to racial harmony. So tolerance must be fostered. What Blair and his administration are proposing will increase intolerance; so racial disharmony could well ensue.

Tony Blair came to power determined to make Britannia cool. He is in grave danger of making it hot, for as the proverb goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions; and we all know just how hot that place is!

The Folly of the Religious Speech and Hatred Bill

Is Free Speech the Real Problem?

The Racial and Religious Hatred Bill now before Parliament in the U.K. is attempt to stop the spiral into cultural chaos that now confronts the citizens of Britain and those in many other parts of the world. Rampant and unfettered immigration has brought together a mix of cultures and religions, in some cases with explosive consequences. Although well meaning, it's a recipe for failure. Instead of a better society, the consequences will mean the abolishing of ancient and natural rights and the descent into tyranny.

From ancient times, wise men have warned against measures that would lead to tyranny. Harsh, tyrannical measures to limit the speech and action of citizens signal that something is drastically wrong. In this case the unrest of the majority has been brought about by the lack of insight and failure of judgment of educated and privileged men that should have considered more carefully the consequences of policy. Must we all now pay with loss of liberty to repair that lack of judgment?

Well-meaning politicians in Parliament are in error if they believe that legislating the content of public speech will quell the unrest. For what is not said in public will definitely be whispered in private. How, then, will this speech be monitored? As did the Nazis, Stalin, and Castro, will citizens be required to inform upon private conversations and correspondence? Will children be encouraged to inform on their parents and teachers? This bill will snowball into something ugly and grotesque, and it will be the end of Britain as a nation of free men and women.

Parliament intends this bill for the "protection" of all. Why do some require such protection? Europe and the U.K. have experienced an enormous influx of new immigrants with cultures that clash with the majority found in the host countries. Instead of assimilating, these immigrants continue to maintain their cultures as if they were residing in the countries they left. The indigenous citizens naturally resent that newcomers are setting up mini-countries within the hosts' territories and demanding fiscal maintenance, access to healthcare, education, and religious accommodation, bringing in repugnant and often illegal activities. Instead of enforcing existing laws to stop such behaviors, Parliament has decided to force all to stop speaking publicly about the problem. This isn't rocket science: the result will be disastrous.

What is the government to do? First they should table or eliminate this bill from consideration as it will cause further resentment and harm. Enforcement of existing immigration laws are necessary and public policy should not be changed to accommodate immigrants who find "Britishness" to be offensive. That idea is offensive...to the British people. Third, they must be cognizant of the cultural and religious morés of entrants. Should immigrants that see British culture as inferior and have hostile intentions be allowed into the country, even as visitors?

Parliament hasn't considered well enough. The "Racial and Religious Hatred Bill" will have far-reaching consequences. As does everything else, this fall under the realm of the Law of Unintended Consequences. In the end, it will snowball into something vulgar, ugly and violent.

Parliament is well-meaning. However their effort will only result in further tyranny.

American Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis wrote in his opinion, "Olmstead v. United States" (1928): "Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government's purposes are beneficial. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greater dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding." The irony is that this opinion was in response to the American government's
use of wiretapping to monitor speech.

Liberties and freedom slip away in small increments and tyranny often enters the same way. Parliament should consider long and hard before enacting this legislation.

Numbers of Christians Decline in the Birthplace of Christianity

Fear stalks the Christian community of Bethlehem. Threats, attacks, kidnappings, rape, and murder are daily occurrences here and few in Christian countries are willing to stand up for or even to listen to the complaints and pleas of their co-religionists. Politicians, reporters, and even religious authorities are afraid of crossing the Palestinian Authority or HAMAS. Who could blame them? The Palestinian Authority and HAMAS often work hand-in-glove.

For Muslim Palestinians, Bethlehem is a source of tourism revenue and a reminder that other religions are practiced among them. Triumphal Islam will not tolerate open practice of other religions. This is the reason for the vehement opposition to Israel and the persecution of Palestinian Christians that only fifty years ago constituted a majority of the population. Today's population that has fallen to 12%. Within twenty years all Christians may be gone from the traditional town of Christ's birthplace.

They are fleeing for a variety of reasons, mostly to escape violence and persecution.

Yet off the record, many Christians in Bethlehem who were interviewed during the past week expressed deep concern over increased attacks by Muslims on members of their community. Moreover, most of them said that they were seriously considering moving to the US, Canada and Latin America, where many of their relatives already live.

Jihad, a Christian merchant from the nearby town of Beit Jala, who has been dealing in antique furniture for over 30 years, says he is planning to leave for good to Chile, where at least 80,000 of his townsfolk now live. "There are less than 10,000 Christians living in Beit Jala today," he explains. "There's no future here because of the deteriorating economic conditions." His friend, George, who used to own a souvenir shop, says he's planning to move next week to Peru, where his brothers and sisters have been living for the past 15 years. The two, who asked to be identified only by their first names, are extremely cautious when the issue of Muslim-Christian relations is raised. "It's true that there have been a number of cases of violence against Christians, but generally speaking the situation is not that bad," George stresses.

Other Christians in Beit Jala disagree. According to a local physician, the plight of the Christians has been aggravated over the past decade in general and since the outbreak of the intifada in particular. "After the Palestinian Authority arrived here in 1995, many Muslim families from Hebron and other parts of the West Bank have moved to Beit Jala," he says. "What's worrying is that some of them have illegally seized privately-owned lands. When one of the Christian owners refused to sell his land to a senior Palestinian security official, he was arrested for a number of days."

In another case, a 60-year-old Christian man was briefly detained by one of the Palestinian security forces because he had forbidden his daughter to date a Muslim security officer. Other Christians who tried to stop Fatah gunmen in Beit Jala from firing into the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo in the first years of the intifada later reported that they had been beaten or threatened by the gunmen.

The same gunmen are also responsible for the rape and murder of two Christian teenage sisters from the Amr family. The assailants then claimed that the sisters had been murdered because they were "prostitutes" and had been "collaborating" with Israeli security forces - a claim that has been strongly denied by the victims' relatives and many residents of the town. "The gangsters murdered the two sisters so that they would not tell anyone about the rape," says a family member. "Some of the murderers were later killed by the Israeli army, but others are now living in Europe after they had sought refuge in the Church of Nativity. It's absurd that Muslim men who rape and murder Christian girls are given political asylum in Christian countries like Ireland, Spain and Italy."

Last week Beit Jala was once again the scene of religious tensions after a Christian woman complained that she had been harassed by Muslim men from the village of Beit Awwa in the Hebron area. "Such incidents have become a daily phenomenon," says Mary, who runs a small grocery in the town. "Many Christian families have sent their daughters abroad for fear they would come under attack by Muslim men."

Earlier this year tensions between Muslims and Christians in Bethlehem reached a peak after a Christian family complained that their 16-year-old daughter had been kidnapped by a Muslim man. Following the intervention of senior Palestinian officials and Muslim leaders, the girl was reunited with her family after spending a few days in a village near Hebron. With the help of American diplomats, the girl was flown immediately to the US to begin a new life with relatives and friends.

They are confounded that co-religionists in the West do nothing.

Some Christians point a finger at the foreign media and diplomatic missions in Israel, accusing them of ignoring their predicament for "political" reasons. "Although most of the foreign journalists and diplomats are Christians, they don't seem to pay enough attention to what's happening to the Christians in Bethlehem," says Bishara, a Christian tourist guide. "They're obviously afraid of damaging their relations with the Palestinian Authority."

While it's almost impossible to find a Christian who's prepared to go public in airing such grievances, Samir Qumsiyeh, a journalist from Beit Sahur, is a notable exception. Last month he was quoted by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera as saying that Christians were being subjected to rape, kidnapping, extortion and expropriation of land and property... "The racism against us is gaining pace in staggering ways. In 1950 the Christian population in Bethlehem was 75%. Today we have hardly more than 12% Christians. If the situation continues, we won't be here any more in 20 years."

Pity. Christians may be soon be gone from Bethlehem and as a reminder of why the Crusades were called.

The conquest of Jerusalem in 638 stood at the beginning of centuries of Muslim aggression, and Christians in the Holy Land faced an escalating spiral of persecution. A few examples: Early in the Eight century, sixty Christian pilgrims from Aarmorium were crucified; around the same time, the Muslim governor of Caesarea seized a group of pilgrims from Iconium and had them all executed as spies--except for a small number who converted to Islam; and Muslims demanded money from pilgrims, threatening to ransack the Church of the Resurrection if they didn't pay. Later in the eighth century, a Muslim ruler banned displays of the cross in Jerusalem. He also increased the anti-religious tax (jizya) that Christians had to pay and forbade Christians to engage in religious instruction of others, even of their own children. Brutal subordination and violence became the rules of the day for Christiansin the Holy Land. In 772, the caliph el-Mansur ordered the hands of Christians and Jews in Jerusalem to be stamped with a distinctive symbol. Conversions to Christianity were dealt with particularly harshly. In 789, Muslims beheaded a monk who had converted from Islam and plundered the Bethlehem monastery of Saint Theodosius, killing many more monks... In reaction to this persecution of Christians, the Byzantines removed from a defensive policy toward the Muslims to the offensive position of trying to recapture some of their lost territories. In the 960s, General Nicephorus Phocas (a future Byzantine emperor) carried out a series of successful campaigns against the Muslims, recapturing Crete, Cilicia, Cyprus, and even parts of Syria. In 969, he recaptured the ancient Christian city of Antioch. The Byzantines extended this campaign into Syria into the 970s...

People have forgotten that Christianity was once widespread in what today is the Muslim world and most don't know that Islam is an imperialistic religion of desert Arabs that use religion as a pretext for conquest. Most Muslims have forgotten that Islam and the Koran are based on Arab culture and written in Arabic for the obvious reason that Arabs are the first among Muslims. Mecca, the holy city, is in Saudi Arabia, the seminal seat of Arabism. Imperialist Islam is hot on the heels of a resurgent and benign Christianity that is spreading through parts of Africa, Asia, and South America. Conquest and the spoils of war are much on the minds of Muslim conquerers whether the conquest is done with the sword, the ballot box, or the economy. Non-Muslims in lands overcome by Islam will find themselves in the same predicament as do contemporary Christians in Bethlehem: convert, flee, or die.

Soon there will be no hiding place if non-Muslims don't take a stand as Jihadis are found in all countries of the world. If no stand is taken in contemporary courts and legislatures, someday banners of defensive Crusaders may flutter again over beseiged cities, using violence as they attempt to rid themselves of a scourge that so easily could have dealt with using the rule of law. Three Killed in Church Riot in Egypt

What caused the riot?

Coptic Christians, the ancient Christian sect that predates Islam by over 1,000 years is under pressure to convert.. to convert to Islam. Conversion to Islam is simple: repeat a few simple words and, lo and behold, you are a Muslim. One doesn't need to know a thing about Islam before conversion and many don't. One important fact that all should know before repeating those few simple words is that once the commitment is made, you can't change your mind. Those that do pay the price of their lives.

The demonstration in Egypt was about a play entitled "I Once Was Blind But Now I See," about "a poor young Copt who is drawn to Islamist militants who then try to kill him." What did he do to deserve to be killed? Was he an informer or commit a criminal act? No, he became disillusioned with Islam. Islam didn't live up to his expectations and he decided to leave: he became an agnostic which is a criminal act to Muslims. That's right. Individuals that become Muslims share the same principle as do made members of the Mafia - they cannot leave on pain of death.

Although the production was shown in a DVD two years ago. Militants are thought to have distributed them "to stoke sectarian tensions ahead of (upcoming) legislative elections November 9."

The Interior Ministry described the protesters as "fanatic elements" who "escalated a negative reaction to a play." The ministry said about 5,000 Muslims marched to the church after Friday noon prayers at mosques. "The police tried to prevent (the demonstrators) from approaching the church and attacking it, but the protesters did not heed the warnings and started to hurl stones at the church, security forces and pedestrians," the ministry said.

The riot was sparked by the distribution of a DVD of a play that was performed at the church two years ago. The play, "I Was Blind But Now I Can See," tells the story of a young Christian who converts to Islam and becomes disillusioned. The church's director, the Rev. Augustinous, said it was difficult to explain the reaction to a one-time performance that took place two years ago.

The church director, the Rev. Augustinous played down the possibility that the DVD was offensive: the "Christian hero is ultimately saved by a Muslim friend." Copts walk a thin line. Once the majority, today they represent only 10 percent of Egypt's population of 70 million and must appear as inoffensive as possible. The showing of the DVD, even in private, violated the rules - nothing that shows Islam in bad light is permitted; violators are severely punished.

Books, articles, blogs, and messages that criticize Islam are considered to be an insult. Even authors and bloggers in the West are sometimes verbally threatened, sued, attacked physically, sentenced to death, or even killed. These are examples the most well known in the West. In the Muslim world there are thousands of the witting and non-witting that have threatened or murdered for "insulting Islam."

Muslims claim that there is no compulsion in religion," meaning that each is free to choose and practice. The riot in Egypt shows the lie to this claim: Muslims are willing to commit violence to drive out or silence practitioners of other religions. In this case they killed two birds with one stone, using outrage over an event that occurred two years ago for political reasons and to drive home the dhimmi or zimmi status of the non-Muslim population, reminding them what Islam allows or disallows for their non-Muslim subjects.

Many find dhimmitude too hard to bear. It is easier to "revert" as they call conversion, or go along with the claims and demands of the Muslim overlords. From time to time Egyptian Copts complain to authorities that their members, especially young women, have been kidnapped and forced to convert. Muslim authorities tend to do nothing. The practice is widespread throughout the world where forced conversions and riots are sparked at the slightest pretext of offense. But then, what doesn't offend Muslims? Europeans would be wise to think very hard and carefully to invite more Muslims to live among them. After all, Egypt was once a predominately Christian country. Look what happened in the space of a few centuries and regard how Islam treats non-Muslims in Saudi Arabia, and in the areas of Nigeria where Islam is spreading through the usual way: violence, intimidation, and deception.

A soft-focus war with an out-of-focus end!

After 9/11, the President launched his war on terror, saying that you are either with us, or you are against us. The problem is this: Many people still do not know whether they are with him or against him! And he has only got himself to blame!

His war on terror is ill-defined, since he and his administration have failed to identify the enemy; and they have failed to bring the Americans, let alone the Europeans, along with them in great numbers.

In Bush, we have a leader of the greatest, most powerful nation in the world who is clearly not well-versed in matters relating to Islam. Indeed, he seems not to understand the faith at all - neither its tenets, nor its objectives, nor its means to achieve those objectives, nor its history of conquest.

George W Bush has become a master of verbal acrobatics; and he is given to speaking from both sides of his mouth at the same time! His words and his deeds are out of synch: on the one hand he takes his country to war; on the other, he entertains the very people whose ideology he is fighting against in the White House in an Iftaar dinner. That would have been similar to Winston Churchill fighting Nazi Germany by sea, land, and air and at the same time inviting all the Nazi sympathizers in the country to a Christmas dinner at Number 10! It wouldn't have made sense then; and it doesn't make sense now!

First of all, why does the President have to give priority to Muslims by inviting them to any kind of dinner? Does he do this for Jews or Christians or Hindus or Buddhists? I haven't found any reference to such dinners; so I somehow very much doubt that he does. So isn't this recently-started tradition of inviting Muslims to the White House as unfair as it is ridiculous?

President Bush is sending out mixed messages. On the one hand he speaks against the evil ideology of Al-Qaida; yet on the other hand mollifies the very people who extol the virtues of this ideology! For what Al-Qaida preaches is Islam, pure and simple! It's not Islam-lite, but Islam, the real thing!

Our leaders, both in the US and UK, can try and whitewash Islam as much as they like; but in the long-run, it will not wash white! The truth about Islam is getting out there, slowly but surely.

Islam has a long history of conquest and Islamization of nations. Indeed, each and every country that Islam enters and puts down roots, it eventually takes over. Witness Egypt, Syria, even Libya. What makes the President feel that it will be any different simply because it is America in the twenty-first century?

Now, if what the President really wants is for the US to be taken over by this alien faith, then he is going the right way about it, since I have heard that he is even spending the Americans' tax dollars on major Islamic initiatives. Were I to be an American taxpayer, I should be furious!

Has a war ever been so waged? I think not. Compare Churchill's leadership of the United Kingdom during the Second World War. Huh! There is no comparison! Churchill was a true leader - engaging, lucid of thought, clear in his objectives, tough in his stance! An orator of unrivalled ability, a tactician unsurpassed in modern history! These are the qualities which George W so sadly lacks. These are the qualities George W so badly needs!

Muslims have stated categorically that Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. Omar M Ahmad, the Chairman of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, stated as early as 1988...

Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran...should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.

Then, Isma'il Al-Faruqi, a US Academic Theorist, stated:

Nothing could be greater than this youthful, vigorous, and rich continent [of North America] turning away from its past evil and marching forward under the banner of Allahu Akbar [God is Great].

And if the President still doubts the real motives of devout Muslims (and even the less than devout ones!), then all he needs to do is read what the Ayatollah Khomeini said some years ago after the 1979 Revolution in Iran. He said...

We are at war against infidels. Take the message with you. 'I ask all Islamic nations, all Muslims, all Islamic armies, and all heads of Islamic states to join the Holy War. There are many enemies to be killed or destroyed. Jihad must triumph... Muslims have no alternative... to an armed Holy War against profane governments... Holy War means the conquest of all non-Muslim territories. It will be the duty of every able-bodied adult male to volunteer for this war of conquest, the final aim of which is to put Koranic law in power from one end of the earth to the other.'

Do these sound like words emanating from the mouth of a follower of a religion of love to you? Do these sound like the words spoken by a tolerant man? Do these sound like the words of a man bent on coming to an accommodation with the non-believers? And aren't such words being spoken by many devout Muslims today?

Come on, Mr President! Get real! Start reading! Start learning! And then start leading! Start leading your country - and the rest of the West - to victory! I repeat the words of Sir Winston Churchill:

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival. Let that be realised; no survival for the British Empire [you insert American 'Empire'], no survival for all that the British Empire [American 'Empire'] has stood for, no survival for the urge and impulse of the ages, that mankind will move forward towards its goal. But I take up my task with buoyancy and hope. I feel sure that our cause will not be suffered to fail among men. At this time I feel entitled to claim the aid of all, and I say, "come then, let us go forward together with our united strength.

So come, Mr President: Get with the story! Your (our) beloved America is in grave danger of going down the slippery slope. Not even Nazi Germany was such a threat for America. There were relatively few Nazis resident in the US at that time. You have a real challenge on your hands now, Mr President! Rise to it! Start thinking clearly! And most of all: Start changing your strategy! The current one is not working, since even if you do somehow manage to bring more than a semblance of democracy to the Middle East - which is very doubtful - you are in danger of losing it at home!

Soft-focus wars, Mr President, with no clarity of vision, just do not work. Sharpen up your focus! State your objectives clearly! Inform the people of the dangers that your country and the West face, and then you'll find that the people will be with you. You will be entitled to claim the aid of all! Change the setting from soft focus to clear focus. Then you'll reap the rewards by making the rest of us far happier, far safer, since then we will all understand. And then we really will be with you, not against you!

How does substance compare with form in today's politics?

Yesterday saw the Conservative Party's most experienced politician, Kenneth Clarke, eliminated from the Conservative Party's leadership race.

Many say that by seeing Kenneth Clarke off, the Conservative Party has shot itself in the foot once again! By getting rid of the man not only experienced enough to lead the party, but also enough of a bruiser to do battle with the redoubtable Chancellor, Gordon Brown, and the man who was the most popular with the voters in the country, they might well have made themselves unelectable for the foreseeable future.

There is no doubt about it: Youth has triumphed over experience; beauty, over substance! David Cameron is said to be telegenic; I doubt whether in the eyes of fashionable London and the county set that the same could be said for dear old Kenneth.

Kenneth had a few things going against him in today's superficial, politically-correct world: He is rather rotund and cuddlesome - one could say stout; he is in his sixties - for some, over-the-hill; he has been the deputy chairman of British American Tobacco since 1978; and, horror of horrors in today's plastic world, he enjoys a puff! No, I correct myself: He is an aficionado of fine cigars.

Not too long ago - it can't be, because even I can remember the time! - things were very different. Stoutness was perceived as adding stature to the politician - witness Churchill; a fat cigar in hand, even in public, also did the same - again, witness Churchill! Indeed, Churchill was rarely photographed without one. And being the deputy chairman of a large multinational company, albeit a tobacco company, would have been evidence of the politician's experience in the real world - something sadly lacking in parliament these days!

Some weeks ago, Melanie Phillips, in one of her insightful articles referred to the Tory leadership battle as a beauty contest. Melanie usually hits the nail on the head, and she didn't fail with this article, either. For this is what it really seems to be turning out to be!

But then, in today's world, looks matter. So it would appear that the eventual winner will indeed be David Cameron. The fact that Mr Cameron has only been in politics for four years - he entered parliament in 2001 - and the fact that he doesn't have any well-thought-out policies is apparently neither here nor there. He looks youthful. He is telegenic. And he looks awfully sweet kissing babies! Oh, and by the way, Conservatives must be thinking that he will look good next to the elf-like Blair! Mr Peter Pan himself!

If Cameron wins the leadership race, and then really does go on and win the next election - something which is not to be taken for granted in New Labour's Britain - then it looks as if we'll be in for the same old garbage: policies made on the hoof by a man who has little conviction, except that is that he feels that the highest office in the land belongs to him as of right à la Blair!

Compare this with Mrs Thatcher. In her, the Conservative Party had a winner - a winner of grandiose dimensions! She knew what she wanted to do with the country; and set out to achieve her aims. She had an uncanny feel for the pulse of the nation: She knew what the people really wanted. She was also well-aware of the dangers before us; though it has to said that during her time in office, there were no such threats to the liberty of the nation as there are today.

Today, we have Islam - the religion which is growing at an alarming rate in the world. Even here in the West! Yet, nobody seems to care!

Isn't it curious that no mention has been made of the fact that no contender in the leadership race has any knowledge or understanding of this threat, the greatest threat to Western civilization since the rise of Nazi Germany. And in fact, in many ways, it is an even greater threat than Nazi Germany ever was, since this is a religion rather than an ideology. And religions are here to stay!

It is to be hoped that whoever wins the Conservative Party nomination will get cracking and do his homework. Very dangerous times lie before us. What we have seen with Islam hitherto is not the end. To quote Churchill's famous words: This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

It remains to be seen how far looks will take us in the difficult years ahead!

How Islam-canny Are the Rivals?
Much has been written over the past few weeks about the Conservative Party leadership contest, about each candidate's suitability to lead the party out of the doldrums; but each article has missed the main point: Which candidate understands Islam, and which candidate understands the threat that this religion and alternative culture poses Great Britain in particular, and Europe and the West in general?

Whoever wins the race needs to understand the history of Islam, its relentless rise in history, and its recent rapid growth inside and outside the West. As far as I am concerned, if the candidate does not understand this religion - Islam, Muslims' aims, aspirations, and tactics, and the history of jihad and Islamic conquest - then he is not a suitable candidate to lead the party.

A good political leader in the present day must have a firm grasp of this important subject if the West is to survive in its present form. In my opinion, this should be a prerequisite for political leadership in the modern world!

It is surprising indeed that no newspaper has yet raised this question. To ignore it is to miss this profoundly important point!

Why won't those politicians learn?

Sarkozy has been showing promise of late with his anti-Turkey-in-Europe stance. Advocating the state-funding of mosques, however, shows either that a.) he doesn't understand the true nature of Islam, or b.) he hasn't got the stomach to take it on!

The state-funding of mosques - even if every khutba, or sermon, is vetted - is tantamount to fast-tracking our own demise. Muslims will never reform regardless of how much we monitor them!

There is but one simple fact that these politicians need to learn: Muslims are on a mission to Islamize the West.

Why won't our politicians and leaders learn this, understand this, digest this? Any sensible policy rests on understanding this one simple fact!

Making excuses for the enemy!

When is the State Department, and indeed the American government itself, going to stop making excuses and apologies for Islam? Now they say that Al-Qaeda are perverting the true nature of this faith.

Isn't it a first in history for the attacked to busy itself making so many excuses for the attackers? I can think of no other such example in the history of the world!

Do we hear Muslims saying that Al-Qaeda and their ilk are perverting 'the real Islam'? I don't think so; certainly not in large numbers.

Why doesn't the State Department let Muslims say what Islam is and what Islam isn't? That would make infinitely more sense!

The Burka: To Be or Not to Be? That Is the Question!
In the Netherlands, ostensibly not! Rita Verdonk, the country's hardline Integration Minister is getting tougher still! The Netherlands, home to one million Muslims out of a total population of only about seventeen and a half million, has a particular problem with their Muslim communities. As everywhere else, they are not integrating, but different from other places, the Netherlands has been a particularly liberal country - till recently that is! The Muslim population there have tested and tried the patience of the tolerant Dutch for long enough. Now, the Dutch are drawing a line in the sand saying: thus far and no further!

It is ironic that it has taken one of the smallest countries in Europe to have the courage to state that the burka is to be banned. But then, the Dutch have had some pretty nasty experiences of late due to fundamentalist Islam. It was only a matter of several months ago that Theo van Gogh was slaughtered on the streets of Amsterdam for making a film - Submission - highlighting the unequal treatment of women in Islam. This was a turning point for the usually tolerant Dutch.

Now, it seems that the burka is to be no more in the Netherlands. And quite rightly so, too! The British need to take a leaf out of the Dutch's book and do the same. No, better still: The European Union needs to pass a law banning the burka Europe-wide.

There is no reason for a Muslim woman to wear the burka, since it has nothing to do with Islam. Prophet Muhammad, if Muslims wish to follow their religion, stated that a Muslim woman, a Muslimah, should dress modestly. Whose particular version of modesty is the burka?

I'll tell you whose version it is: It's the version of the desert Arab, the Bedouin; the desert, of course, is the home of Islam. So the wearing of the burka shows exactly how Arabo-centric the Islamic faith is.

For decades, educated Muslim women didn't wear the burka, especially in cities such as Cairo. This all changed after the Iranian revolution started by the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979. He breathed new life into the Islamic fundamentalist movement worldwide, and it is since that time that more and more Muslim women have taken to wearing such garments.

This is proof, if proof were needed, that donning a burka is much more than a religious statement; rather, it is a political statement. And a subversive one at that! Why? Because no other religion in the world is so political as Islam is, and no other religion today competes with Western liberalism for pre-eminence in the world. Indeed, Islam is a competing civilization to ours, and in every respect; and, since the oil embargo of the 70's, new life has been breathed into the Islamic world from the enormous wealth generated for them by petro-dollars.

If Muslims had their way - and that includes many moderate ones, too - they would like to see the hegemony of the West superseded by a new Islamic hegemony!

This is one of the main reasons why we should not tolerate Muslimahs wearing the burka in our free societies. Another is that the burka is a symbol of the total subjugation of women - it says: be seen as an apparition; don't be heard, you wench!; you are inferior to men (which, of course, is clearly stated in the Qur'an) - and women in the West have fought long and hard for their equal position in today's world.

Mrs Verdonk gave warning that the “time of cosy tea-drinking” with Muslim groups had passed and that natives and immigrants should have the courage to be critical of each other. She recently cancelled a meeting with Muslim leaders who refused to shake her hand because she was a woman.

That Muslim men would not shake her hand was, of course, an outrage! Though one cannot be surprised. Muslims do this all the time: they often refuse to shake the hand of an inferior infidel, too. God knows I've had plenty of experience of that!

The Dutch deserve praise for the courageous way they are handling this delicate problem. I wonder who among the British list of politicians would have the courage to do the same?

Similar legislation should be introduced right across Europe! As Mrs. Thatcher once said: This is no time to go all wobbly!

Who's paying whom? How much? And why?

That our leaders are so hell-bent on allowing Turkey into the EU when all good common sense would tell us that to do so is tantamount to committing cultural suicide begs the following questions: Who is paying whom? How much money is changing hands? Are parties being funded in such a way that Muslims are using our politicians as marionettes? And if so, why are they doing so?

To let Turkey into Europe is an act of blatant self-destruction! As a civilization, short-term gains are being placed above long-term goals!

Whatever it's called, this ideology is very different from the religion of Islam!

Some call this evil Islamic radicalism; others, militant Jihadism; still others, Islamo-fascism. Whatever it's called, this ideology is very different from the religion of Islam. This form of radicalism exploits Islam to serve a violent, political vision: the establishment, by terrorism and subversion and insurgency, of a totalitarian empire that denies all political and religious freedom. These extremists distort the idea of jihad into a call for terrorist murder against Christians and Jews and Hindus -- and also against Muslims from other traditions, who [sic!] they regard as heretics.

Really, Mr. President? I don't think so!

No, Mr. President. No! It's not very different from the religion of Islam. This IS the religion of Islam! This is precisely what Islam is all about: the jihad! Bringing terrror to the infidel! Muslims will continue to do this for as long as they're empowered with petro-dollars, and for as long as the West shows any propensity to tolerate it!

Don't try any longer to gloss over what's happening, Mr. President! Please! For it is plain to see; as plain as the nose on your face, in fact!

There is only ONE way to counter this: Accept it, thwart it, and do what is necessary to rid the West of this evil! Did you hear what I said, Mr. President? Do what is necessary to rid the West of this evil!

Free trade area for the Islamic world?

At the end of a three-day World Islamic Economic Forum held under the auspices of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), there has been a call for the setting up of an Islamic common market in order to boost trade and development.

Wouldn't this be a far better 'common market' for Turkey to join than the European Union? Far more appropriate to the needs of Turkey than the EU; moreover, this would be an organization in which Turkey itself could take the lead!

Does Turkey really relish giving full equal rights to Muslimahs, Muslim women? And perhaps even more shocking to the Islamic world: Does it really relish giving equal rights to Turkish homosexuals? Such equal rights to these groups will be a prerequisite of joining the EU. There would be no such demands from an Islamic free trade area.

Joining such an organization, it seems to me, would be eminently more sensible for the future of Turkey than to join the infidels of Europe!

When the President blew it!

George W. Bush's biggest blunder was that he didn't define the enemy clearly the day after 9/11, the day he addressed the nation, and the world, on TV. He had his chance, then, to define the real enemy; and had he done so, he would have carried the whole civilized world with him, since it was plain to see who the real enemy was. This was a colossal strategic blunder!

Instead of that, he appeared on television, from the Oval office, with the Qur'an on his desktop, along with the Bible and Torah, giving the Qur'an equal place - and therefore equal importance - with the other two important holy books! Really! As if the Qur'an had contributed anything meaningful to the development of the States, or the West!

He had his chance; but he blew it! Ever since, we have been fighting the war on the defensive! No war was ever won on the defensive!

Muslims at Prayer: Deifying Muhammad?

I chanced upon the above website whilst surfing the net the other day. I found it rather enlightening, since I had never read anything quite so explicit about Islamic prayers before. It states in no uncertain terms that it is better for the believer to pray to Muhammad than to Allah! Here's the quote (which can be verified by clicking on the above title):

Among the greatest means of obtaining ease in times of hardship is invocating blessings and peace upon the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and give him peace), which the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace) himself clarified for us how in a tradition narrated by Ubai bin Ka’ab (may Allah be pleased with him), who said; ‘I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I supplicate often, so how much of my supplication should I devote to you?’ He replied, ‘as you desire’. I said, ‘a quarter of it?’ He said ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ I said, ‘half of it?’ He said, ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ I said, ‘two-thirds of it?’ He said again, ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ Finally I said, ‘and if I dedicate my supplication in its entirety to you?’ He said, ‘then your needs will be satisfied, and your sins forgiven.’

Should infidels, perhaps, revert to calling this faith is Muhammadanism?

Woolly thinking never won any war!

The three 'I's' of winning a war are: identify the problem facing us; identify then who and what the enemy is; and lastly identify the enemy's strategy for getting to where he wants to get. In other words who is our enemy? What is their goal? How are they trying to achieve that goal?

Then we have to thwart, thwart, thwart! No war has ever been won on the defensive! To win a war, a nation, or a civilization, has to go on the attack. Offence not defence is key! Moreover, it is self-evident that to win a war we need to think clearly. We also need to think creatively. Alas, we are thinking neither clearly nor creatively.

Jack Straw, the British Foreign Secretary, Tony Blair, and George W. Bush were all adamant that the EU needed to admit Turkey as a full member of the Union. Turkey has been given the green light to begin negotiations. The train has already left the station. It is said that the negotiations will take between ten and fifteen years to complete. In this time, Turkey is supposed to comply with the stringent list of regulations as set out by the Commission.

This is a regrettable move indeed. The last thing that Europe needs is a country the size of Turkey to enter the Union. Already Turkey has a population brushing 80 million, and nearly all are Muslims (only a very small percentage of Turks are actually infidels). Its population is expected to reach 100 million by about the year 2020. This will make it bigger even than Germany, since not enough babies are being born in Germany to sustain its population.

Turkey, then, will become the largest nation in the block; and that will mean a Muslim nation will dominate Europe! Turks are guided by their Koran. Don’t be fooled into thinking that it is a secular nation; it really is not. Kemal Atatürk started trying to secularize Turkey, but the process has never been very successful. It has remained broadly secular only by the power of the military and police.

Such is the nature of the nation we will allow to enter the Union.

To any clear-thinking person, this is potentially very, very dangerous. Very dangerous indeed. Since Muslims are guided by their Koran, and the ultimate aim of all good Muslims is the promotion of Shari'ah to its rightful place: it is the body of Islamic laws, God’s (Allah’s) laws, that must supersede our man-made laws.

In starting the process of accession to the EU for Turkey, Europe has embarked on a process of slow death! We are committing cultural suicide. There is NO other way to look at this!

President Bush, evidently no master of geopolitics, and Messrs Blair and Straw, also, it seems, no masters of geopolitics either, obviously have no understanding of what is really going on here. They do not understand the nature of Islam. They keep on insisting that Islam is a religion of love. It’s a faith based on love, not hate said Bush in September 2002. Really Mr. Bush? Really?

This is the first myth of Islam. To disabuse yourself of this lie, Mr. President, please read the following extracts from the Koran. To Muslims, terror comes as second nature! If they love, then it is only their own kind!

But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans [us] wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem [of war]; but if they repent and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for God is Oft-forgiving, most Merciful. Do these quotes, taken directly from the Holy Qur’an, sound like like quotations from a book which promotes love? Or do they sound, perhaps, as though they might come from a book which promotes the emotion of hatred towards people who don’t follow the faith of Islam, the teachings of Muhammad, the injunctions of Allah?

To me, it is clear: The Koran promotes a feeling of them and us, i.e. the infidels and the believers. To Muslims, the world is clearly divided into infidels and believers, into two parts, the House of Islam (the ‘home’ of the believers) known as Dar al-Islam and the House of War (the ‘home’ of war) known as Dar al-Harb. Not being a believer in their faith, I know exactly where I belong! Do you?

Despite what Messrs Bush, Blair and Straw would have us believe, Muslims do not love infidels. Infidels are to be defeated, to be taken over, to be made to submit to Allah, to be made to acknowledge that Muhammad is Allah’s final Messenger, to believe that no messenger will come after Muhammad, to believe that Muhammad perfected religion for man for ALL time!

So please, Mr. President, do your homework before you utter such ridiculous statements in future, will you? Since you are making a fool out of yourself, and are, into the bargain, endangering the Americans and all of us who live in the free world by promoting such falsehoods!

So, as you see, terror comes as part and parcel of the Islamic faith. Muslims are meant to terrorize the infidel, until they have been subdued, and until they bow in submission to the one true God!

But remember this: They don’t see this as we see it - as terrorism. They are doing their duty to God; so they don't call it terrorism; rather they call it JIHAD! So let’s have less of the second myth: the myth that we are fighting a war on terror. For what we are actually fighting are Jihadis: warriors fighting a holy war, or the Jihad. That means to say, fighting in the way of Allah, fighting against the infidel in order to spread Islam throughout the world, fighting to establish Shari'ah law, fighting to establish a caliphate, fighting for the supremacy of Islam!

Myth number three: That Osama bin Laden and his ilk have taken a perfectly good, benign faith and twisted its tenets. They haven't. These are the people who are following their faith to the letter! You want proof? Read the extracts from the Qur'an above! That's the proof; and there is plenty more proof for the reading in the Qur'an, too.

The fourth myth is that we are going to prevent a clash of civilizations à la Huntington by allowing Turkey into the European Union. What we will actually and really be doing by allowing the Turks in is giving away our civilization. The Turks will be given on a plate what they have failed to achieve militarily: namely, the takeover of Europe! They are the clever ones; we are the fools!

The clash of civilizations will , in any case, not be prevented by allowing the Turks in. This will only bring the clash into Europe itself. The result, eventually, will be civil war in Europe! And if you don't believe this, if you think this is far-fetched, then just look around at all the hot spots throughout the world: they are almost all caused by Muslims, and they are almost all in places where the Muslim population has become strong through sheer numbers! That's the proof! Moreover, if you think that it will somehow be different in Europe, then you are deluding yourself.

In actual fact, we really shouldn’t be on the defensive like this. No war was ever won on the defensive. Ever! To win a war, it is imperative that we be on the offensive. Thwart! Thwart! Thwart! Each and every time!

We are waging a war at the moment which has been very badly defined, since the enemy – the true enemy – has not been identified. The true enemy is Islam and its relentless spread throughout the Western world. Furthermore, it isn’t a clash of civilizations we should be preventing, but this: the spread of an alien faith, Islam, in the West!

By inviting so many Muslim immigrants into Europe, the US, Australia, and beyond, short of thwarting their efforts to spread their faith, we are assisting them! Further, by inviting the Turks to join us in the European Union, we are inviting the Turks (Muslims almost all) to come to Europe to spread the same faith: Islam! What we ought to be doing is rolling back the frontiers, halting the spread of this pernicious religion, and thwarting all their attempts to spread it! This is our real war! This is our real challenge!

The fable of misplaced confidence

We are told by Jack Straw, and others, that to 'tie the knot' with Turkey is to bind the heritage of the Christian West to the heritage of the Islamic East, and thereby avoid a clash of civilizations.

This reminds me of one of ÆSOP's fables. The one about misplaced confidence!

The halcyon is a bird that loves solitude and spends all its life over the sea, nesting in rocks on the coast, so they say, where men cannot pursue it. Once upon a time, a halcyon which was about to breed came to a headland and built her nest on a rock overhanging the water. But one day when she had gone to find food, the sea was whipped up by a squall, and a high wave washed over the nest and drowned the nestlings. Woe is me!, cried the bird when she returned and saw what had happened. I was on my guard against the traps that might be set for me on dry land, but this sea, to which I fled for refuge, has proved still more treacherous.

The moral in the story: Some men act in a similar way. In their anxiety to protect themselves against their enemies, they fail to realize that they are running into the arms of even more dangerous friends!

Un bain turc froid pour les Turques par Chirac?

Calling President Bush, Prime Minister Blair, and Foreign Secretary Straw: Eat your hearts out! Chirac might well give the Turks a cold shower! A cold Turkish bath, so to speak!

According to the EU Observer, French President Chirac has said that Turkey needs to undergo a major cultural revolution if it is ever to become a member of the EU.

These words, just one day after the 30-hour marathon session to get agreement among the members of the Union, and after the Austrians had to suffer a humiliating climb down. Will the last laugh, however, be with the Austrians after all?

After a meeting with Silvio Berlusconi of Italy, the President of France, although he expressed support for Turkey's bid, was doubtful whether the mainly Muslim country would ever become a member of the Union, according to the EU Observer.

It is encouraging to note that José Manuel Barosso, the President of the European Commission, has stated that Turkey must win the hearts and minds of European citizens ... They are ones who, at the end of the day, will decide about Turkey's membership.

These are encouraging words indeed! Does this mean that the powers that be in Europe are at last beginning to realize that Europe is supposed to be democratic? Does this mean that the opinions of the people do matter to them after all? Does this indeed mean that Chirac is preparing to flex his muscles with the President of the United States of America? We all know what Chirac thinks of President Bush; so he can't be at all pleased with the recent politics of the Anglosphere, with Bush's last minute pressure on Austria to back down.

Are we now to prepare ourselves for the sparks to fly across the Atlantic?

Euphoria I Cannot Share
Freude über das "friedliche Zusammenleben der Kulturen" (Joy over the peaceful co-existence of the cultures), goes the subtitle. Would that this will be the final outcome of this experiment in social engineering. The greatest experiment in social engineering the world is about to witness. I wish I could share the Turks' euphoria. I'm afraid I cannot. This is one experiment too far; this is an experiment which will end in tears!

What we have here is an experiment which has been foisted upon the peoples of Europe. Overwhelmingly, public opinion in Europe is against this stupidity. People in France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, and of course, Austria are AGAINST this move. Indeed, in Austria, feelings on this subject run high, since 80% of the electorate are against!

It is said that the people of the UK are generally in favour. I doubt that. I seriously doubt that. Where's the evidence for this? We haven't been given a chance to voice our dissatisfaction! Blair and his government have refused to give people the chance to vote on it. There hasn't even been any serious public opinion poll on the matter as far as I know. I certainly haven't been asked about my opinions on this most serious of matters. And there has been NO public debate.

Al BBCeera certainly hasn't given people the chance to voice their dissatisfaction, either. They have only just opened up the argument; but now it's too late. The damage has been done. They studiously avoided informing the public on the issues. This, of course, is to their eternal discredit!

We can blame Blair and Straw for this fiasco. But not only them. We can also blame Bush, since he and his administration are the ones who have been fighting hard for this outcome, the ones who finally forced Austria's hand and made the country climb down through threats of "consequences". This, of course, will be to Bush's eternal shame!

There's no point in talking about democracy here, as Bush and his poodle, Blair, are wont to do. There's not a whiff of democracy in what has happened. The electorates of France and the Netherlands overwhelmingly rejected the referenda on the constitution some months ago; and it has been said that one of the main reasons for this rejection was their total dissatisfaction with the prospect of Turkey being brought in to the European family of nations.

As a result of this move to make Turkey a full member of the European Union, Islam will continue its relentless jihad westward. It may be a peaceful jihad; but it will be a jihad nevertheless.

At one time, I was a fan of Bush's. A big fan, in fact, since I believed he understood the threat that Islam poses the free world; but I have long since come to the conclusion that he doesn't have a clue!

He doesn't have a clue because he refuses to admit to what is staring him in the face, smacking him in the gob, grabbing him - if you will forgive me - by the short and curlies! Moreover, he refuses to learn.

He keeps on insisting that Islam is a 'religion of love and peace', when all common sense says that it isn't and cannot be, and all reading and knowledge of it proves, intellectually, that it never has been, and never can be.

In his insistence on his 'wierd and wonderful' theory, he is actually doing the free world a great disservice, since he is blurring the task ahead: To defeat Islam. He is also making the situation unintelligible to the ordinary man in the street, who has little or no understanding of Islam, and still less desire to learn.

It is not possible to be a good, strong leader in time of war if one steadfastly refuses to identify the enemy. Moreover, it is certainly not possible to defeat that enemy without first identifying it.

Bush hasn't even taken the first baby step in its identification: He cannot see that his 'war on terror' is nothing of the sort. The word terror should be replaced by the word jihad, for this is truly a war on jihad. What we are witnessing is the jihad in action! For, in truth, this is what we are actually fighting; and no Pakistani 'ally', or Saudi 'ally' can fight this force with us, because they are part of the problem, not the solution - they are on the other side.

Bush made a huge blunder in going into Iraq, since he went in there believing he could bring democracy to that country, and believing still further that this form of government would spread throughout the Middle East, as if by osmosis. The man was a fool! And an ignorant fool at that! For in trying to achieve this unachievable goal, he showed he had absolutely no understanding either of the Islamic faith or the history of its cancerous growth!

As a result, we now see that Shari'ah is being installed as the form of government of choice in Iraq. Conclusion: Islam has moved westward because of his folly. But, not satisfied with this, he is now insistent, too, that Turkey be integrated into the European family. This policy will ensure that Islam moves even further West, so far West in fact that it will envelop the whole of Europe in a short time.

I feel sorry to say it, since I do not like making disparaging remarks about a US president. I have always considered the Americans to be our greatest allies, our greatest friends, our beacon of liberty. I have always had the greatest respect for the institution of the presidency. However, I have to admit that this president, although he started out appearing to be in control, is actually nothing of the sort. He can't see the wood for the trees! The result? He is making a dog's dinner out of the war against Islam. He is clueless! Furthermore, in his cluelessness, he is making the world a very unstable place. Far more unstable than it needs to be.

But to add insult to injury, under his watch, the Islamic world is making steady advances westward. Although he is supposed to be a Christian, he doesn't understand the first thing about how his co-religionists have been persecuted over the centuries by this cancer that is metastasizing apace! Does he not know that wherever Islam has put down roots, it has eventually taken over? How ignorant can he be of world history?

This enemy is worse than communism, worse than fascism, and worse than National Socialism. People were well aware of what those were: evil political systems. Islam is every bit as evil; but it confuses people because it is clothed in a deity. This is indeed worse than anything we have faced before. Our future is certainly neither bright nor orange; the future looks bleak; the future looks black! How long will it take before Europe will be set alight by civil war? How long will it take for the glorious churches and cathedrals of Europe to be turned into grand mosques à la Haggia Sophia? How long will it take for the people of Europe to be forced to bow in total submission to Allah? How long will it take for the laws of Europe to be replaced with Islamic law, the Shari'ah? How long will it take, indeed, before Europe is transformed into Eurabia?

The crusaders knew of the dangers of Islam. Our politicians, both sides of the Atlantic, are woefully ignorant of them.

Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy!

George W. Bush and Tony Blair went to war in Iraq to try and bring democracy to that country, and to try and spread democracy in the Middle East. There is an irony in this, though: Bush and Blair have no respect for democratic values at home! Yesterday's farce in the EU showed this to be so.

By far the vast majority of Europeans DO NOT WANT TURKEY IN EUROPE. But did George Bush listen to them? No! Did Tony Blair listen to them? No! Did any of the Western governments listen to their people? No! None of them did, with the possible exception of Austria, which was torpedoed by the US in its efforts to stop Turkey coming into Europe as a full member. The US threatened Austria with "consequences"; so Austria, being a small country, had to back down.

This was a disgrace! An utter disgrace! So George and Tony: Don't ever have the brass to talk in public about democracy to us again, will you, please? You have shown yourselves in your true colours! You have behaved like the despots you truly are! I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you don't know the first thing about democracy. You are drunk with your own power!

I long for the day when we shall have strong and noble leaders in the US and the UK again. Leaders who will listen to the will of the people. Democracy needs to be restored.

Yesterday, Nostradamus' Words Came True!
Not usually a person to pay much attention to this sort of thing, I couldn't help remembering something I first read in the early 1980's. It was from a book entitled, Die großen Prophezeiungen des Nostradamus in moderner Deutung by Kurt Allgeier. In his book, he states:

Das Heilige Reich wird nach Germanien kommen. Der Islam findet offene Tore vor. Die Dummköpfe wollen auch die Wiedergeburt. Die Unternehmer sind alle unter Dach und Fach. (Centurie X/31)

What this says is that the gates of Europe have been opened wide to let in the people of Asia and the Orient: ...sie kommen im Namen ihres Propheten Mohammed nach Europa. Yes. And we are the suckers who have given them the green light to do so!

We'll pay a hefty price for this foolishness. A very hefty price indeed!

Bullied into Submission!
Despair was it in that dawn to be alive, and to be young was very hell!
Austria was set to be the 'Saviour of Europe'. Ursula Plassnik, the Foreign Minister, stood her ground till the last minute. But she caved in. It is said that she did so because of pressure by the US. The US government is said to have threatened Austria "with consequences" if it vetoed Turkey's accession to the EU as a full member. "Wenn Österreich die Türkei quält, wird es einen Preis dafür zahlen." (If Austria tortures Turkey, there will be a price to be paid.) Now if that's not blackmail, what is?

Shame on you, George! Shame on you for bullying Austria! Shame! Shame! Shame! You have lost many people's respect by behaving in this despicable manner.

The US had no business getting involved in the internal affairs of the EU. No more than the EU would have any right to get involved in the internal affairs of the US. How would Bush like it, for example, if the EU started insisting that the US take in Mexico as another state?

There will, indeed, be consequences for Austria now that the accession talks will commence. In fact, there will be consequences for the whole of Europe! For we can all now brace ourselves for the Islamization of Europe! We've just taken the first step towards that. One can only wonder how long the process will take. Eurabia here we come!

We're in a Hole with Islam, But We Keep on Dig, Dig, Digging!
Isn't it funny how politicians, the leaders of the Western world, people who should know an awful lot about the history of Western civilization, know nothing about it, and if they do, they refuse to heed history's caveats? Isn't it funny how these same politicians find it unnecessary to learn about Islam and the history of its relentless growth since its inception 1400 years ago? And isn't it funny how these politicians, knowing we're in a God awful mess with Muslims because of our own folly and weakness, can think of no strategy except one that will get us further and deeper into the mire? The fact of the matter is that we're in a hole - a deep hole! And the hole is getting deeper by the week! Why? Because we refuse to stop digging!

In an article entitled Straw urges Turkey EU membership on the BBC website today, Jack Straw predicts that EU nations risk driving Christians and Muslims apart if Turkey is not brought into the fold. No Jack, no! This, on the face of it, seems logical enough; I believe, however, that this is a perfect example of a logical fallacy!

What we need to do for there NOT to be a clash of civilizations is this: We need to give these two worlds their space. Each 'world' has a different Weltanschauung, a different worldview. Therefore, these two civilizations should learn to respect each other more, but allow space for each to live.

The way that you, Jack, are trying to manipulate things, you risk bringing the clash of civilizations about - here in our own backyard!

The Christian world and the Islamic world have always had their great differences. What you propose to do, Jack, is bring those two sides together in order to bring about harmony. How logical is that?

Have you ever lived in a household where two people who can't get on are under the same roof? Moreover, do you know what happens when those two people live under the same roof? Answer: The sparks fly!

The sparks will start flying as soon as Turkey becomes part of Europe, too. Look forward to the rough ride, folks! And don't forget to thank Jack Straw for it!

Marrying Turkey
Did anyone else read the opinion piece in The Telegraph today about Turkey acceding to the EU? It started with "Poor Turkey"! Poor Turkey, indeed! How ridiculous was the rationale used for letting Turkey in!

I don't know whether you have noticed, but the press in the UK have given very, very little coverage of the case against Turkey acceding to the EU. It has also been playing all dissent down. And this is what they call democracy!

It seems to me that these people espouse democracy, but prefer not to practise it! Were they to practise it, then they would heed the calls from the people not to allow Turkey in. The British seem to take the view that 'our betters' know better! Interestingly, feelings on this topic are running high in central Europe.

If you can read German, you might like to take a look at Die Presse

This is a good Austrian newspaper; and they have been offering its readers in-depth coverage of this controversial move for weeks and weeks now. By contrast, what do we get from the British newspapers? Sweet Fanny Adams!

The way The Telegraph views this is absurd. This is like a man marrying a woman because she's been chasing the pants off him. The fact that he doesn't wish to marry her is neither here nor there. She's chased the pants off him, and if he doesn't marry her, she's going to act the bitch.

This, as we all know, is no good reason for the man marrying the potentially nasty woman; the reason The Telegraph gives for 'marrying' the Turks is not a good one either.

Such marriages end in divorce. This 'marriage' will be no different.

More Reasons Why Turkey and the EU Should Not Join in Union!
Muslims, I firmly believe, will never come to understand what democracy truly means, since they cannot comprehend one simple concept: the separation of religion and politics, the separation of church, or mosque, and state. Of course, the reason why they cannot comprehend this separation is because their religion teaches them that politics and religion may not be, and cannot be, separated. So, all power, to a Muslim, rests with Allah; all power, to a democrat, rests with the people. In Islam, Allah dictates their politics; in a democracy, it's the people who dictate them.

To perceive each other's differences, and to understand them, is not in and of itself to dislike or hate one another. It should just be a question of using one's intelligence and foresight to see the dangers that lie ahead of us in this union of opposites.

Moreover, this union, if it does come about - and God forbid that it should! - is certainly not going to be a marriage made in heaven! It will be nothing other than an 'arranged marriage', a 'marriage of convenience' for the plenipotentiaries.

But these plenipotentiaries will certainly not be speaking for the people of Europe. Public opinion in Europe is firmly against. From my readings, and from my understanding of the situation, there are many in Turkey, too, who do not relish this 'marriage'. I read only yesterday in the German press - the German press are generally more forthright than the British press on matters of dissent - that many academics, economists, and 'men of religion' in Turkey are four-square agin Turkey's accession; and many fear that it will be Turkey's downfall. This is the quote I read in Die Welt by these dissenters in Turkey: Im Westen liegt der Untergang der Türkei!

I would add to this. I would say: Im Westen liegt der Untergang der Türkei; in der Türkei liegt der Untergang Europas!

By the way, marriages that are not based on love and mutual respect usually end up in the divorce courts, for they are like dwellings built on the shifting sands. Expect, too, that this marriage of convenience will eventually follow a well-trodden path - to the divorce courts!
