Lessons from a Dark Era | Hitler - Germany's Fatal Attraction | Episode 3 | Full Documentary
Dec 4, 2025 | This documentary examines the final years of Hitler’s regime and the catastrophic consequences of Nazi ideology between 1939 and 1945. Through historical analysis, survivor testimony, and archival footage, it explores how Germany fell under the influence of a destructive leader—and how that vision ultimately collapsed under the weight of war, genocide, and total devastation.
The film also reflects on the legacy of these events: the moral consequences, the profound human cost, and the ongoing debate in Europe and the United States about whether earlier intervention could have prevented the atrocities.
This is an educational, fact-based look at one of the darkest chapters in world history, highlighting the importance of vigilance, accountability, and remembering the past to prevent future tragedies.
— © Mark Alexander

C of E to Challenge Tommy Robinson’s ‘Put Christ Back Into Christmas’ Message
THE GUARDIAN: Church leaders respond to far-right appropriation of Christian symbols with ‘Outsiders welcome’ message
The Church of England is to launch a poster campaign aimed at challenging the anti-migrant message of Tommy Robinson, whose “Unite the Kingdom” movement has urged its supporters to join a carols event next weekend to “put the Christ back into Christmas”.
The posters, which will go on display at bus stops, say “Christ has always been in Christmas” and “Outsiders welcome”. They will also be available for local churches to download and display over the festive period.
The C of E’s decision to challenge Robinson’s extreme rightwing stance comes amid growing unease among church leaders about the rise of Christian nationalism and the appropriation of Christian symbols to bolster the views of his supporters. » | Harriet Sherwood | Sunday, December 7, 2025

US May End Support for Ukraine War Effort, Says Donald Trump Jr
THE GUARDIAN: Eldest son of Donald Trump makes speculative comments during tirade against Volodymyr Zelenskyy and EU
Donald Trump may walk away from the Ukrainian war, the US president’s oldest son has said in comments to a Middle East conference.
In a lengthy tirade against the purpose of continued fighting in Ukraine, Donald Trump Jr also said Ukraine’s “corrupt” rich had fled their country leaving “what they believed to be the peasant class” to fight the war.
Trump Jr has no formal role inside his father’s administration, but is a key figure in the Maga movement. His intervention reflects the antipathy among some inside the Trump team towards the Ukrainian government, and comes as Trump’s negotiating team is putting pressure on Kyiv to give up territory.
Trump Jr said the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was prolonging the war because he knew he would never win an election if it ended. He said Zelenskyy was a borderline deity on the left, but argued that Ukraine was far more corrupt than Russia. » | Patrick Wintour in Doha | Sunday, December 7, 2025

What's America's Beef with Europe? | LBC
Dec 6, 2025 | America should "cultivate resistance" in Europe as the continent is subverting democracy, blocking a Ukraine peace deal and facing "civilisational erasure" because of mass migration, according to a new national security document.
The first strategy since Donald Trump returned to the presidency is a targeted challenge to the European Union, claiming it ideologically divided to the US and "undermines sovereignty". It also sets out America's changing approach to Russia and China.
Ali Miraj is joined by Sir Robin Niblett, former director and chief executive of Chatham House, to discuss why some in the Trump administration are so concerned about the state of Europe.

Dec 6, 2025 | Europe risks civilizational erasure"—a line from the Trump administration’s newly released National Security Strategy—has prompted firm pushback from European leaders and renewed debate over the direction of transatlantic policy.
With Washington signaling a halt to NATO enlargement, a reduced military presence in Europe, and harsher demands of its allies, the document is under close scrutiny across the continent.
