Holocaust Survivors Call on Nigel Farage to Apologise over Alleged Antisemitic Comments

THE GUARDIAN: Exclusive: Group’s open letter says Reform UK leader must take responsibility for behaviour as a schoolboy

A group of Holocaust survivors have demanded Nigel Farage tell the truth and apologise for the antisemitic comments that fellow pupils of Dulwich College allege he made toward Jewish pupils.

The Reform UK leader has said he never racially abused anyone with intent but may have engaged in “banter in a playground”.

But in a letter to Farage seen by the Guardian, the 11 survivors said: “As Holocaust survivors, we understand the danger of hateful words – because we have seen where such words lead.

“Let us be clear: praising Hitler, mocking gas chambers, or hurling racist abuse is not banter. Not in a playground. Not anywhere.

“When allegations arise about invoking Nazi attitudes toward Jewish children, the responsible response is honesty, reflection, and commitment to truth.

“So we ask you: did you say ‘Hitler was right’ and ‘gas them,’ mimicking gas chambers? Did you subject your classmates to antisemitic abuse?”

The survivors include Hedi Argent, who lost 27 members of her family in the Holocaust. Another member of the group, Simon Winston, was held in a ghetto before escaping in September 1942 and spending the rest of the war in hiding.

Another signatory is Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, who was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau where she spent nearly a year. In October 1944, she was moved to Bergen-Belsen, where she was liberated by the British in April 1945. » | Henry Dyer and Daniel Boffey | Friday, December 5, 2025

What Would a Reform Government Mean for Britain?

Nov 29, 2025 | If polls are to be believed, Nigel Farage will be the next Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Britain will have a Reform UK government. In this video, I argue that this government will pursue a Thatcherite agenda that doubles down on the economic and political status-quo that has ruled Britain for a generation. Hence, Nigel Farage is not an anti-establishment figure, he is a fugue of establishment that will defend their interests and not ours.

Antisemitism Allegations against the Teenage Farage Matter – Look At What He Went On to Do

THE GUARDIAN: Farage has cosied up to US figures who espoused conspiracy theories about Jews. That kind of talk is becoming alarmingly mainstream on the Maga right

Nigel Farage could have strangled this story at birth. Confronted with the testimony of more than 20 former schoolmates, who shared with the Guardian their memories of a young Farage taunting Jews and other minorities in the most appalling terms – telling a Jewish pupil that “Hitler was right”, singing “Gas ’em all” and making a hissing sound to simulate lethal gas – he could have said: “I have no memory of what’s been described, but such behaviour would of course have been atrocious and if I was involved in any way, I am genuinely sorry.”

Sure, it would have been more of an “ifpology” than an apology, its admission of guilt wholly conditional, but it would surely have closed the story down. Reassured that the Reform UK leader had declared racist and antisemitic abuse unacceptable, most observers would have allowed that these events took place half a century ago and moved on.

But that is not what Farage did. Instead, he and his party have offered shifting accounts, moving from outright denial to non-denial denial and back again. That slipperiness itself raises questions about the character of the man who, according to the polls, is on course to be Britain’s next prime minister. But this episode also points to a larger and more alarming phenomenon, one that stretches far beyond these shores. » | Jonathan Freedland | Friday, November 28, 2025

Nigel Farage Responds to Racism Claims Saying He Never ‘Tried to Hurt Anybody’

THE GUARDIAN: Reform leader denies racist or antisemitic behaviour ‘with intent’ at school, but says he can’t remember everything from 49 years ago

Nigel Farage has broken his silence nearly a week after he was accused by about 20 people of racism and antisemitism as a teenager, by saying he “never directly, really tried to go and hurt anybody”.

His remarks came after the publication of a detailed investigation by the Guardian in which many of his school contemporaries claimed to be victims of, or witnesses to, repeated incidents of deeply offensive behaviour.

The Reform party leader’s aides emphatically denied the allegations, saying that any “suggestion that Mr Farage ever engaged in, condoned, or led racist or antisemitic behaviour is categorically denied”.

In a broadcast interview on Monday, Farage appeared to give a more nuanced response when he was asked if he had racially abused fellow pupils at school.

He replied: “No, this is 49 years ago by the way, 49 years ago. Have I ever tried to take it out on any individual on the basis of where they’re from? No.” » | Daniel Boffey, Henry Dyer and Mark Blacklock | Monday, November 24, 2025

Nov 21, 2025 | "[Farage] is a phony. If you can’t see that then you really have no idea of the political realities."

Farage is an expert at "raising the temperature" and aiming that anger towards immigrants, says Conservative peer, Lord Heseltine.

Starmer Accuses ‘Spineless’ Farage of Failure to Tackle Racism in Reform Party

THE GUARDIAN: PM says Reform UK leader also has ‘questions to answer’ about alleged racist comments and chants when at school

Nigel Farage has been accused of being “spineless” by the prime minister and a “coward” by Dulwich college contemporaries over his response to allegations of racism.

Keir Starmer said the Reform UK leader had “questions to answer” about alleged comments and chants as a teenager that include songs about the Holocaust, and accusations of bullying towards minority ethnic schoolboys.

He added that Farage had a “track record” when it came to racism, pointing to his failure to discipline his fellow Reform MP Sarah Pochin after she complained about the number of black and brown people she saw in adverts.

Speaking to reporters on the way to the G20 summit in Johannesburg, Starmer said: “He needs to explain the comments, or alleged comments that were made, and he needs to do that as soon as possible. He hasn’t got a good track record in relation to this because Sarah Pochin, his MP, made some clearly racist comments and Nigel Farage has done absolutely nothing about it.”

He added: “The man is spineless. If that had been someone in my party, I’d have dealt with it straight away. He needs to explain the latest allegations, and whilst he’s at it, he needs to explain why he’s too spineless to take action in relation to what is obvious racism in the comments of his fellow MP. » | Daniel Boffey, Kiran Stacey in Johannesburg and Mark Blacklock | Friday, November 21, 2025

Michael Lambert: The Real Reason Nigel Farage Will Never Be Prime Minister.

Nov 1, 2025 | In this video I explain the real reason Nigel Farage will never be Prime Minister: his record of missed votes, misuse of EU funds, undeclared gifts, and a career built more on outrage than achievement.

From UKIP to Brexit to Reform UK, Farage has always been a brilliant disruptor — but never a builder. Britain doesn’t need another showman; it needs leadership.

Watch to the end to see how his ambition and ego have done more harm than good to British politics.

Here are the links spoken of in this video:

Does Belief in God Make Any Sense? »

If Free Will Is An Illusion Does It Matter? »

Michael Lambert's video has made my day! The mere thought of Farage becoming the PM sends me into despair. Farage would not only ruin the NHS, he would also do untold damage to state pensions. Ultimately, he would probably scrap them. Emulating the US healthcare system is the very last thing this country needs. As it happens, I have a great deal of experience with the US healthcare system because my late partner was an American and died in 2016, having been treated in the last years of life for two very serious illnesses. I was the one who dealt with the consultants, other doctors, and nurses. The whole American healthcare system is profit-driven. Enough said. I'm sure that Hippocrates must be turning in his grave! Reform UK in general has nothing but pain to offer us Britons. Nigel Farage in particular has no sensible answers to make the nation prosperous again. In fact, as Michael Lambert rightly points out in this excellent video, Nigel Farage is one of the main architects of Brexit, and we all know what a disaster that has been and how it has impoverished the nation. — © Mark Alexander

Farage Is Comparable to Hitler, Zarah Sultana Suggests

THE TELEGRAPH: Reform UK leader is a danger and shares features with fascist leaders, says Left-wing party founder

Zarah Sultana has suggested Nigel Farage is comparable to Adolf Hitler.

Ms Sultana, the MP for Coventry South, who has founded a new political party with Jeremy Corbyn, said the Reform UK leader had “all the features of a fascist politician”.

During an interview for the BBC’s Political Thinking with Nick Robinson, she accused Mr Farage and his fellow Reform MPs of being “committed to peddling racism”. » | Dominic Penna | Senior Political Correspondent | Friday, October 31, 2025

Farage Urged to Explain Anti-abortion Links to Meeting with Trump Officials

THE GUARDIAN: Lib Dems accuse Reform leader of wanting to water down women’s rights after reports of help from advocacy group

Nigel Farage has been urged to explain why a US anti-abortion advocacy group helped arrange a meeting in London with Trump administration officials and diplomats.

The meeting, first reported by the New York Times, took place in March between Farage and a delegation from Trump’s state department, which it said was overseen by the US embassy and brokered by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) group. The meeting was said to have discussed abortion rights, free speech and online safety laws.

ADF, which supports free speech and religious freedom, has worked in Britain to help challenge the prosecutions of Christians who were arrested for praying silently outside abortion clinics, breaching “buffer zones”. The group, which is non-politically partisan and says it is a human rights charity, said it was not present at the meeting and had never met with Reform UK politicians to discuss abortion law.

In response to the meeting, the Liberal Democrats accused Farage of working with Trump officials and anti-abortion campaigners who want to water down women’s rights and urged him to explain what was discussed. » | Rowena Mason, Whitehall editor | Thursday, October 16, 2025

Michael Lambert: Why Blindly Following Farage's Immigration Policies Will Be Disastrous for the British Economy

Oct 11, 2025 | Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, is responsible for Brexit and its catastrophic consequences for the British economy but is now telling his followers that foreigners are responsible for many of our problems and that stopping immigration is a priority.

This policy above all is attracting many new supporters and the Labour government and the Conservative Party are copying his policies. All three main parties are now campaigning to reduce immigration and to return many of those who are already living in the UK.

The UK badly needs more workers in many sectors if the economy is to grow, but political policies which oppose immigration will only ensure that the British economy continues to decline. …

Listening to Mr Lambert's excellent synopsis this morning, it reminded me of that famous musical from my youth… So, here we go…

How do you solve a problem like Nigel?
How do you catch a clown and pin him down?
How do you find a word that means dickhead?
A flibbertigibbet
A will-o’-the-wisp
A clown …

Nigel Farage’s Reform Party Compared to 1930s Fascists — Michael Heseltine’s Scathing Attack

Oct 8, 2025 | In an extraordinary intervention, Lord Michael Heseltine delivers a brutal warning about Nigel Farage’s Reform Party — comparing its populist rhetoric to the rise of fascism in 1930s Europe.

As British politics slides deeper into division, Heseltine stands alone, urging the country to remember history before it’s too late.

While others shouted, one man spoke sense. Michael Heseltine - the statesman Britain forgot it needed - stood tall this conference season, reminding us what courage and decency sound like.

A montage of truth, conviction, and class.
