The Shocking Truth about Royal Finances and Meghan's New Christmas Show | The Daily T
Dec 3, 2025 | Is the Royal family value for money, or are they ripping us off?
The Parliamentary public affairs committee announced that it will hold an inquiry into the properties and land owned by the monarchy, following the responses it received to questions about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s peppercorn rent at Royal Lodge.
As if that wasn’t enough, David Dimbleby has them in his sights in a new three-part BBC documentary titled “What’s the Monarchy For?”
Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley are joined in the studio by former Liberal Democrat MP Norman Baker, whose new book ‘Royal Mint, National Debt’ rails against the huge increase in support to the Royals from the public purse, despite their vast private wealth and income streams, and without the transparency to go with it.
Plus, why Meghan’s new Christmas show is a demonstration of ‘working motherhood’ that most working mothers won’t recognise

I Read FBI's Wild Epstein and Andrew Files: Author | The Daily Beast Podcast
Nov 18, 2025 | Andrew Lownie joins Joanna Coles to examine wild new reporting that Jeffrey Epstein tried to hire a British sniper to kill Prince Andrew — a story now echoed by two separate sources.
Joanna presses into the fever-dream paranoia that surrounded Epstein in his final years and the ripple effects now hitting the palace. Lownie, author of the bombshell book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, explains why, if true, this plot reframes Epstein’s reach and the danger surrounding everyone in his orbit
. Joanna ends by asking the blunt question lingering under all of it: what else was Epstein willing to do that we still don’t know?

Andrew Asked to Appear before US Congress for Questioning on Jeffrey Epstein Links | BBC News
Nov 7, 2025 | Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been asked by Democrats in US Congress to answer questions as part of its investigation into paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Members of the House Oversight Committee wrote to Andrew in a letter addressed to Royal Lodge, the Windsor mansion from which he was ordered to move when he was stripped of his title as a prince on 30 October.
The committee does not have the power to compel Andrew to appear in front of them, but said it intends to ask questions related to Epstein's network and associates based on the pair's "longstanding" friendship.
Andrew was stripped of his titles following months of pressure over his ties to Epstein, but he has always denied wrongdoing.
I am no defender of the former Prince Andrew. His behaviour has been despicable. But this comes over as very hypocritical to me. These Congressmen/women are so quick to call for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify under oath, but let their own president completely off the hook. The witch-hunt should begin at home and then move on. Trump, if he is honest under oath, will surely be able to shed much light on the seedy goings on in these sex orgies. Then, by all means bring Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor into the ‘inquisition’! But start with the most powerful man in the world. He must surely know far more than he is letting on. — © Mark Alexander

Andrew Should Answer Epstein Questions in US, Democrats Say | BBC News
Nov 1, 2025 | Members of a US congressional committee investigating the Jeffrey Epstein case have intensified their calls for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to answer questions about his links to the late sex offender.
King Charles stripped his brother of his "prince" title on Thursday, following months of pressure over Andrew's ties to Epstein.
Andrew has always denied wrongdoing. At least four Democrat members of the House Oversight Committee have since renewed their calls for Andrew to testify - although the panel is controlled by Republicans, who have not indicated they would support the move.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Andrew will not have to leave Royal Lodge immediately and could move to Sandringham as late as the new year.
Shouldn't these self-same Democrats be pushing their very own president to release the Epstein files first? Their pleas smack of double standards. — © Mark Alexander

The disgraced former prince has now been stripped of his style, title and honours, and is being removed from the 30-room Royal Lodge.
A copy of the leasehold agreement, shared with the PA news agency by the Crown Estate, which oversees the royal family's land and property holdings, shows Andrew signed a 75-year lease on the property in 2003.
It reveals he paid £1 million for the lease and that since then he has paid "one peppercorn" of rent "if demanded" per year.
