”Prince Andrew Should Not Be Forgiven (This Queen’s Jubilee)”

Views on YouTube: 35,780 | Jun 4, 2022 #TyskySour is broadcast every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7PM here on the Novara Media YouTube channel.

Prince Andrew is super-privileged. He has had a life that most people could only dream of. But he still allegedly misbehaved!

Where was his self-discipline? Does he have none? Facts are: Prince Andrew is super-privileged, but also super stupid!

What is the matter with all these superrich, super-privileged men? Why can’t they control themselves? Why are so many of them oversexed, or even supersexed? It is high time that they learn that good morals are the same for them and their rich, privileged friends as they are for everyone else. Being superrich doesn’t, or at least shouldn’t, give anyone a pass, be he royal or be he commoner. But whether Prince Andrew should be forgiven or not is for others to decide. What I do know is this: Behaviour at the top everywhere needs to change. The super-privileged right across the world are misbehaving in so many ways. Enough already! – © Mark Alexander

Revealed: How Prince Charles Pressured Ministers to Change Law to Benefit His Estate

THE GUARDIAN: Newly discovered documents show government yielded to heir’s demands amid fears of a constitutional crisis

Prince Charles exploited a controversial procedure to compel government ministers to secretly change a proposed law to benefit his landed estate, according to documents uncovered by the Guardian.

Official papers unearthed in the National Archives reveal ministers in John Major’s government yielded to his demands amid fears that resisting the heir to the throne could spark a constitutional crisis.

Ministers backed down to “avoid a major row” with the prince, effectively allowing him to force the hand of the elected government.

The disclosure of the documents provides further evidence of how the royal family has used the secretive procedure known as Queen’s consent to alter legislation to benefit their private interests. » | Rob Evans, David Pegg and Severin Carrell | Tuesday, June 28, 2022

Prince Charles Given €3m in Cash in Bags by Qatari Politician, According to Report

THE OBSERVER: Money was passed immediately to one of the prince’s charities, says Clarence House

The Prince of Wales accepted bags containing millions of euros in cash during meetings with a senior Qatari politician, according to a report.

Prince Charles was said to have been given a total of €3m (£2.6m) during meetings with Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al-Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar.

The cash was handed to the heir to the British throne in a suitcase on one occasion, a holdall on another, as well as in Fortnum & Mason carrier bags, the up-market department store which holds a Royal Warrant to supply the prince’s household with groceries.

The handovers are alleged to have occurred during meetings between the two men, including a private one-to-one meeting at Clarence House in 2015, it was claimed. » | David Connett | Saturday, June 25, 2022

Prince Charles Criticises ‘Appalling’ Rwanda Migrant Scheme – Reports

THE GUARDIAN: Source says Prince of Wales was ‘more than disappointed’ with deportation plans

A spokesperson for Clarence House said Prince Charles remains politically neutral. Photograph: Reuters

Prince Charles has privately criticised the government’s policy of deporting migrants to Rwanda, calling the practice “appalling”.

The heir to the throne has been heard opposing the policy behind closed doors, a source has told the Times and the Daily Mail.

The claim comes on the same day that a legal challenge against deporting asylum seekers was rejected by the high court. The first flight to send migrants to the central African country could leave on Tuesday. An appeal against the ruling has been launched.

The source said: “[Charles] said he was more than disappointed at the policy.

“He said he thinks the government’s whole approach is appalling. It was clear he was not impressed with the government’s direction of travel.” » | Harry Taylor | Friday, June 10, 2022

Scotland Yard has launched an investigation into cash-for-honours allegations linked to the Prince of Wales’s charity the Prince’s Foundation.

In a brief statement, the Metropolitan police said it had launched the investigation after media reports alleging offers of help were made to secure honours and citizenship for a Saudi national.

In September last year, the Sunday Times published claims that the billionaire Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz paid tens of thousands of pounds to fixers with links to Prince Charles who had told him they could secure the honour.

Prince Charles Commissions Artists to Paint Portraits of Holocaust Survivors

TATLER: The Prince of Wales asks leading painters for historically significant works

The Prince of Wales is paying tribute to survivors of the Holocaust by commissioning leading artists to paint portraits of seven men and women who were imprisoned in concentration camps as children. The paintings will become part of the Royal Collection and be displayed in The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

Passionate in promoting tolerance between communities, the prince hopes the portraits will demonstrate ‘humanity's interconnectedness, as we strive to create a better world for our children, grandchildren and generations as yet unborn - one where hope is victorious over despair and love triumphs over hate’. His Royal Highness, who is Patron of National Holocaust Memorial Day, has often warned about the repercussions of extremism and in a speech marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, he insisted that the lessons of the Holocaust were still ‘searingly relevant’. » | Dora Davies-Evitt | Wednesday, January 12, 2022

Philip’s Death Leaves Prince Charles as Patriarch of Royal Family

THE GUARDIAN: Analysis: Prince of Wales will be increasingly at Queen’s side as he takes role at a time of internal divisions

An indisputable truth of hereditary monarchy is that promotion to the “top job” is accompanied by deep personal loss. So it will be for the Prince of Wales, who will eventually take the throne as he mourns his mother.

But the death of his father will have had no less profound an effect on Prince Charles. And, though on any official level it does not alter his royal status, it does change the family dynamic.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s death, as the Queen expressed, has left “a huge void”. Philip was the patriarchal head of “the firm”. This is the mantle Charles will now assume. This role was most symbolically underscored when Charles was the only family member to visit his father during his recent spell in hospital.

He spent 30 minutes at the duke’s bedside at King Edward VII’s hospital in London in February. What words were exchanged between father and son can only be guessed at, and are unlikely to ever be made public. But it was a sombre Charles who emerged with, according to photographers waiting outside, tears glistening in his eyes. » | Caroline Davies | Monday, April 12, 2021
