Prime Minister Theresa May Calls General Election for 8 June – Full Video Statement


In a surprise announcement outside 10 Downing Street on Tuesday, the prime minister, Theresa May, calls a general election for 8 June. She says the election will be about leadership. The Tories will remove uncertainty and strengthen Britain's hand in Brexit negotiations.
